Chapter 2: Even If There’s A Crisis Of Turning Into A Hot Weapon, One Can’t Go Hungry
“What the hell!?”
Su Li’s expression was truly one of surprise, mixed with a hint of confusion. She had no idea why this kind of information was appearing in her head, or who might have left this information for her.
Could it have been some kind of prank left by that vague, ethereal name? Or maybe it was just some irrelevant information—something about the girls she had “captured” all being reincarnated. Either way, the chances of it being true seemed slim.
But is it possible that there are really gods in this world? Wait—if there are no gods, then how did she get reincarnated?
Though the possibility seemed small, just knowing there was even a slight chance made Su Li feel as if he was doomed.
Regardless, for safety’s sake, Su Li decided not to reveal her identity as a reincarnator. After all, considering how many girls she had “captured,” Su Li didn’t even want to imagine what would happen if they had all been reincarnated…
Even though she was a reincarnator, she didn’t have the usual advantages of one. She didn’t know the winning lottery numbers, or the rise and fall of stock prices, and all she knew was that housing prices were going up, but she didn’t have the money to buy anything. Well, it looked like she might as well consider himself done for at this point.
Every time she thought of the girls she had once “captured”, Su Li got a headache. The idea that she might turn into hot weapons or whatever—it just didn’t make sense, no matter how she thought about it.
But honestly, how could she have been “captured” by anyone? She had always been the one chasing after others.
Regardless, for now, she decided to take things one step at a time.
As Su Li was lost in thought, she suddenly felt a wave of hunger. She casually checked the time and saw it was already past 11 AM.
No wonder she was so hungry.
She lightly patted her flat stomach and decided to go out to a restaurant for a meal. It would also give her a chance to see what was different in this world compared to her previous one.
Even with the crisis of turning into a hot weapon, she couldn’t stay hungry.
Before heading to freshen up, Su Li checked her wallet. Her current name was also Su Li, but it was written with the character “琉璃” (Liú Lí) rather than “离” (Lí), which meant “glass” or “crystal”.
Not bad, she thought.
After freshening up, Su Li went to the bathroom. The feeling was still a bit awkward for her. She was still used to the way she had gone to the bathroom before. She thought it was funny that she had to use toilet paper now, unlike the old way, where a quick shake would do the trick.
Ahem!
As for grooming, Su Li was good at it. After all, she had done girls’ hair plenty of times and was quite skilled. Doing her own hair wasn’t much different.
When changing clothes, there was no dramatic moment where only a skirt appeared. Instead, she simply put on the classic combination of a T-shirt and jeans. But as she was about to head out, she suddenly remembered something very important.
This made her rush back into the room to take off her clothes and put on her underwear. Though not large, it was necessary to wear. If she didn’t, it would be a bit uncomfortable.
But wait—why was she so skilled at this? She had never worn women’s clothing before, yet it felt like she had done it countless times. Maybe she had a talent for wearing women’s clothes…
Okay, that was just a joke.
Su Li lived in a village near the school. The buildings were old, and there were no elevators, but the rent was cheap. Her relatively spacious apartment only cost about a thousand yuan a month.
Taking her phone, Su Li headed out.
She also checked her bank account. She still had some money, and with everything now being paid through QR codes, she didn’t need to carry a wallet. After all, she wasn’t going far, so it wasn’t necessary.
Su Li lived on the fifth floor. After coming downstairs and leaving the building, she had to walk through a maze of narrow alleys to exit the village. If it were someone’s first time here and no one showed them the way, they would easily get lost.
Don’t ask how Su Li knew this—when she was looking for an apartment, she wandered around here for half the day before the landlord finally found her and brought her to the place.
It made her a little sad to think about it.
But now, after five years, Su Li had grown accustomed to the complicated layout. There was no detail she didn’t know. Every plant, every store, everything around her, she was fully aware of.
“It feels like a lot has changed~”
Su Li looked at the shops along the road. There were still some selling ingredients, but in a few months, a new supermarket would open at the entrance of the village. When that happened, the area would become much quieter.
If she remembered correctly, the market would be replaced by a small hardware store after only two months of the supermarket’s opening.
There was also a shabby daily goods store, whose owner would soon make a fortune. It seemed his family’s land was being expropriated for development, and the shop would soon be replaced by a small restaurant.
There were many small details like this that Su Li noticed. She couldn’t help but feel a little wistful. Five years wasn’t long, but so many things had changed.
Before her fall, she had heard the landlord mention that the area was about to undergo renovation.
Walking through the area, Su Li quickly made her way out of the village.
After a brief moment of thought, Su Li headed in a certain direction. Nearby, there was a restaurant run by one of her students, and the food was pretty good. She decided to solve her breakfast-lunch dilemma there.
The most important thing was that the student was someone she had once “captured”, so going there would give her a chance to check if the information in her head was real.
Making up her mind, Su Li quickly arrived at the small restaurant.
The restaurant wasn’t big, but it had everything it needed. The best part was how clean it was. Every corner, every table and chair, was spotless, and that made it incredibly comfortable. That was why it had so many regulars.
As soon as Su Li sat down, a figure appeared beside her. It was a girl around 15 or 16 years old. She wasn’t particularly stunning, but she definitely qualified as a beauty, and she was one of those people who grew more attractive the longer you looked at her.
As for why Su Li knew this so clearly, it was naturally because she had once “captured” her. Her name was Li Zi, and Su Li usually called her “Li Zi” as a nickname. It was a name only her mother would call her.
Of course, after that, there was one more person who called her that—Su Li.
