Chapter 99: Title
Back at Wentiang Peak, Xia Shi found herself pinned against the door by familiar hands before she could react.
Recognizing the distinctive breath, she relaxed into the restraint, initial surprise melting into amusement.
"What’s this?"
Suiyin pressed closer, fingers tracing rather than gripping the soft skin of Xia Shi’s wrist. "What were you trying to say earlier?" she murmured, recalling how Lu Ciyou’s arrival had cut off their training ground conversation.
Xia Shi hooked a leg around her assailant, closing the gap until their noses brushed. "First tell me why you’re sulking."
She’d noticed immediately—the downward tilt of lips, the half-lowered eyelids while instructing juniors.
"You noticed?" Suiyin huffed, teeth grazing Xia Shi’s smiling lips. "Of course I mind you coaching them."
"Jealous of juniors?" Xia Shi’s chuckle vibrated between them.
"Furious." Suiyin claimed the grinning mouth, proving her statement.
“Do you still remember who your disciple is, Master?” Suiyin drawled in reminder.
“That makes no sense.” Xia Shi gently freed herself, circling the younger woman’s waist as she stared at those glistening lips with darkened eyes. Her breathy whisper carried a challenge: “Didn’t I teach you?”
Her naturally cool voice now held a husky quality that coiled through the air like smoke.
Suiyin swallowed hard, her ears burning with inexplicably racing heartbeat.
“What…what exactly did you teach me?”
The question unleashed ancient memories – of Cold Moon Palace in Endless Sea, where she’d been taught…kisses.
As they spoke, the hand at her waist grew bolder, fingertips applying deliberate pressure through thin fabric.
Heart fluttering, Suiyin lifted her gaze to meet Nine Realms’ sole deity.
Xia Shi smiled with shadowed eyes. “Problem?”
Suiyin captured the wandering hand, leaning close enough for warm breath to caress Xia Shi’s ear. “Is Master seducing me?”
The older woman tilted toward the flushed earlobe. “What do you think?”
“I think…” Suiyin withdrew slightly, hands braced on broad shoulders while staring into bottomless dark eyes.
Identical hunger swirled in both pairs of eyes – primal and undeniable.
“Yes.”
The kiss exploded beyond control. Compared to Xia Shi’s expertise, Suiyin’s inexperience showed despite her initial boldness, soon leaving her gasping and retreating.
“W-wait!”
Xia Shi continued brushing lips against hers. “Hmm?”
Suiyin glared at her composure, resentment bubbling. How did their shared starting point lead to such disparity?
“Did you practice secretly?”
Amusement crinkled Xia Shi’s eyes as she massaged Suiyin’s nape. “When exactly? You missed my Sword Pavilion years, but saw me study otherwise?”
The logic held, yet…
Before protest formed, Xia Shi’s mouth returned with patient guidance. Suiyin melted into the tenderness, only realizing they’d moved when bedding pressed against her back. Blinking away confusion, she found herself staring at swaying bed curtains.
Xia Shi hovered above, trembling lashes betraying her own nerves despite the relentless kisses.
Darkness fell abruptly. “Must you stare?” came the exasperated murmur.
Suiyin tugged the light-blocking hand down, smiling contentedly. “I want to watch you.”
Xia Shi descended again with uneven breath.
“Fine.”
The lamp stayed lit.
Damp kisses charted territory from forehead to jawline, then lower…
“Shall I demonstrate more?”
Suiyin’s eyes glazed with mist, the overwhelming sensation leaving her unable to speak. Opening her mouth would release those shameful sounds.
She felt embarrassed.
But Xia Shi proved merciless. Knowing Suiyin’s reluctance, she traced Suiyin’s lips with her fingers, demanding audible responses.
Flustered, Suiyin bit Xia Shi’s finger.
The sharp canine teeth pressed into flesh, yet Xia Shi felt no pain – only mischief stirring. Her hand slid to Suiyin’s lower back, finding that vulnerable spot above the tailbone.
Suiyin immediately released her bite. A choked gasp escaped before she could muffle it.
Xia Shi smiled against Suiyin’s clenched lips. "Why resist? I enjoy this."
"I…it’s too much," Suiyin whispered, eyes shimmering with unshed tears.
Xia Shi understood her discomfort but refused to rush. She trailed soothing kisses along Suiyin’s jaw. "Patience," she murmured.
The Nine Realms held no mystery greater than Kunlun. Xia Shi once practiced swordsmanship on Kunlun’s snow mountain, memories still vivid.
Spiritual fruits grew there, crimson jewels bursting with sweetness. Xia Shi would savor them before training, their nectar lingering on her tongue like stolen dreams.
She’d discovered her ideal training ground beneath a waterfall’s icy cascade. Stripping her outer robe, she cupped the springwater – surprisingly warm against her skin.
Diving in, she brandished her sword beneath the pounding falls. Spiritual power shielded her body yet let the water cling to her thin underrobe, outlining taut muscles as she moved.
Her blade danced faster. The spring bubbled and steamed until scalding droplets rained down. Completing her final stance, Xia Shi licked a water bead from her lip – sweet with spiritual energy.
Breathing hard as if from training, Xia Shi wiped sweat from Suiyin’s forehead. Suiyin stared blankly, struggling to regain awareness.
When Xia Shi vanished from her sight, panic gripped Suiyin. She clutched blindly until finding Xia Shi’s damp hand – an anchor in the storm. White light flooded her vision…
It resembled divine connection yet transcended it.
Returning to herself, Suiyin found Xia Shi placing feather-light kisses across her face. With sudden boldness, she yanked Xia Shi’s collar.
Why should Xia Shi remain composed while she lay exposed?
Xia Shi yielded willingly. But as garments pooled around them, Suiyin reversed their positions – past shyness forgotten as she claimed dominance.
She looked down at Xia Shi, tugging at her loose waist with lingering resentment.
Earlier, she’d clearly pleaded for mercy, but Xia Shi had pretended not to hear, only growing more relentless.
As the Heavenly Dao’s wheel turned—none escaped its judgment.
Suiyin wound the waist around Xia Shi’s wrists, fastening an unyielding knot.
Leaning close, she traced the woman’s jawline before dragging a fingertip along her collarbone. "I’ve mastered all you taught me, Master," she murmured. "What remains… I’ll discover myself tonight."
Xia Shi froze, unease prickling her spine.
"I was ever your devoted student."
Suiyin descended, repaying every touch Xia Shi had given her—with interest.
She reduced the older woman to trembling tears, skin flushed rose-gold, yet hovered just beyond contact like a dragon admiring its hoard. When Xia Shi finally bit back a whimper, Suiyin breathed against her ear:
"Beg."
Any other time, this would’ve drawn steel. But here, with her beloved girl whispering wickedness, shameful heat pooled in Xia Shi’s belly instead of rage.
As she parted trembling lips, Suiyin sealed them with her palm. "Hush," the younger woman whispered, claiming Xia Shi’s mouth. "My goddess shouldn’t speak thus."
…
Wentiang Peak’s snowfall hushed the world until dusk next day.
Xia Shi awoke surprisingly unharmed—Suiyin’s vengeance had been feather-light touches and aching restraint. Mostly.
Her cheeks burned recalling how quickly those silken bonds had immobilized her. How the night’s rhythm slipped from her control…
An alarmingly quick study indeed.
Seeking her senior sisters, Xia Shi barely reached Autumn Forest’s outskirts before a sword’s shadow fell across her path.
Ye Xiao dismounted his blade, stormclouds in his gaze. "Satisfied?" he bit out. "Your well-timed warning worked wonders."
Xia Shi blinked. "Huaiwen refused?"
The glare intensified. "She agreed."
"No way…"
"She kicked me out," Ye Xiao said, his eyes downcast, desolation coloring his voice. "She said she didn’t mean any of it—that it was all my own wishful thinking."
"Is that true?" Xia Shi asked, incredulous. "Then why did she keep you around so long, fussing over you day after day?"
"Because my injury hadn’t healed."
"But Huaiwen is a medical cultivator."
The simple statement struck like lightning. Ye Xiao froze.
Right—she’s a medical cultivator! She’d have known if I’d truly been injured. Even if I’d tried hiding it, I couldn’t have fooled her for years.
Ye Xiao hesitated, then turned to Xia Shi. "What do you think she meant, then?"
"How should I know?" Xia Shi smiled helplessly. "My relationship with Suiyin isn’t like yours. I’ve got no experience here."
Ye Xiao: "…"
What was that tone?
Bragging?
His gaze dropped to a faint red mark on her neck. The sight pierced the heart of the recently exiled sect leader.
Sword energy erupted, shaking the Sanqing Realm.
Junior disciples below scrambled in panic—
"They’re fighting! They’re fighting!!!"
The former sect leader and the Divine Lady are brawling!!!
