Chapter 62: The Huge Supermarket is Gone
The entire Secret Realm had been paused, halting its collapse abruptly. The Qilin rose, slowly opening its night-black eyes. Though unfocused, it felt as though it stared at everyone, making them feel an urge to bow down immediately. Then a deep Heavenly Sound echoed through the Secret Realm, reaching every ear.
“Celestial maidens of the Immortal Realm, I thank you for awakening me from ten thousand years of slumber. Henceforth, I shall dissolve this Secret Realm, merging it into the Immortal Blessing Continent. The contents of these hundred-layered realms are my gifts to this world.”
The colossal Qilin Phantom vanished as suddenly as it appeared. The earthquake resumed with greater violence, the ground splitting and folding to reveal… another layer below.
Huh?
You You blinked. Through cracks in the sky, she glimpsed another layer above. She remembered Yuan Qi’s words—hadn’t he mentioned a hundred-layered Secret Realm?
So this wasn’t just a big supermarket—it was a multi-level one! The realms were stacked. No wonder they hadn’t seen other celestial maidens or cultivators—they’d been “shopping” on different floors.
As the realms crumbled, cultivators and maidens flew up on swords to escape the quaking ground. The Secret Realm teetered on total collapse when a repulsive force surged. Spiral exits materialized in each layer’s sky.
Before You You could move, the transparent bubble around them shot toward an exit. In a blur, they landed on the Moon Sea’s shore.
The Secret Realm’s Entrance remained open as more rushed out. Disciples from major sects looked composed, while those from smaller sects appeared disheveled. Everyone stared dazedly at the shrinking Entrance.
“Why did the Moon Sea Secret Realm collapse?”
“Was that Phantom… the Qilin of the Divine Clan? This was their territory?!”
“I thought it was an Immortal’s cave mansion!”
“Legends lied! The Heavenly Sound said this was the Qilin’s slumber site!”
“No wonder Spiritual Plants grew endlessly here with no monsters—the Divine Clan’s presence kept them away!”
“Which celestial maiden woke the Divine Clan?”
“Can we still enter the Moon Sea Secret Realm?”
“What were those ‘gifts’?”
They soon found out. When the last celestial maiden exited, the Entrance sealed. The space above the Moon Sea warped, bulging as if something swelled beneath.
“Is the Secret Realm… exploding?!” someone shouted.
BOOM!
The bulges burst into countless streaks of light, scattering like meteors. A shockwave blasted outward. Quick thinkers activated defensive formations; slower ones were flung back.
You You staggered, nearly falling when an arm steadied her waist.
“Are you alright, Xiao You?” A warm voice asked. Yuan Qi smiled down at her.
“Huh?” She glanced between him and the collapsing realm. “When did you get here?”
“I never left.” He nodded toward the chaos. “The merging isn’t over. Stay back.”
As he spoke, more explosions lit the sky like giant fireworks, shaking the earth.
“Those lights—they’re the Secret Realm’s treasures!” someone cried. “The Divine Clan’s gifts are scattering everywhere!”
The crowd erupted. Cultivators shot off on swords, chasing the lights. You You gaped—the free supermarket was gone!
She shot Yuan Qi a look. This walking charity beast had blown up the whole place! Was this his “dad energy” at work?
Noticing her glare, Yuan Qi patted her head. “It’s unsafe here. Shall we leave?”
The shore was half-empty now. You You turned to Lin Feng. “Let’s return to the sect. Lin Feng, where’s the Spirit Ship?”
“No need.” Yuan Qi plucked leaves from a tree. They enlarged into platforms, lifting the trio skyward.
You You marveled—Divine Clan transport beat Spirit Ships! The leaves zipped away, unnoticed by a watching figure below.
“Elder Qiu, should we pursue the fragments?” a disciple urged.
Qiu Yao frowned. “Send word—all Golden Core disciples and elders must hunt the fragments.”
Nodding, the disciple left. Qiu Yao summoned his Spirit Sword, glancing back. He hadn’t imagined it—that maiden now had a mysterious companion.
