Chapter 11: The Enemy is Just Too Weak
Yin Fan stood frozen, unable to utter another word. His eyes flickered with a mix of emotions—shock, fear, suspicion, disbelief—as his face contorted like a twisted painting, his pupils widening further.
You You paid him no mind, simply helping the injured teammate to safety.
“N-noble lady!” After what felt like ages, he finally regained his breath, whirling toward Lin Feng. Rage flooded his features, Murderous intent radiating from him. “Lin Feng! Have you lost your humanity? How dare you bring a noble lady to this death trap!”
“This isn’t the time for explanations,” Lin Feng said dismissively.
“Bullcrap!” Yin Fan roared. “Spit it out! Noble ladies don’t wander into these hellholes. Are you…you scum planning to drag her to the border city?!”
“Of course not!” Lin Feng shot back. “We’re—”
Yin Fan cut him off, eyes blazing. “Travelers said a noble lady vanished from Shangyang City—kidnapped by vile traffickers. Was it YOU?!”
“Ridiculous!” Lin Feng snapped. “We’re escorting her TO Shangyang, not the border!”
“Think I’m dumb?!” Yin Fan’s Murderous intent thickened. “You swore NEVER to enter Shangyang City! Lies won’t save you now, you beast!”
Abandoning the formation, he lunged at Lin Feng.
“Yin Fan!” Lin Feng blocked the strike with one hand, still maintaining the formation. “Stop this madness! Deal with the River Beast first!”
“Screw your grandpa!” Yin Fan attacked like a rabid beast. “I came to save you, but you’re worse than trash! I’ll kill you myself!”
Forced to duel one-handed while sustaining the formation, Lin Feng gritted his teeth.
You You blinked. “…What? I carried someone over and they’re suddenly brawling?”
“Enough, Yin Fan!” Lin Feng finally lost patience. “Do I look like a monster to you?!”
“Worse!” Yin Fan spat. “Five years old and you snitched about me skipping class! Got me beaten black and blue!”
“Teacher caught you, not me! YOU left fake answers during exams!”
“Liar! You said the test was on Body Forging, but it was Qi Condensation!”
“Teacher changed it last minute!”
“You sabotaged me!”
“You’re delusional!”
“YOU started it!”
“YOU!”
You You: “……”
Others: “……”
The two men kept arguing like schoolboys, voices rising.
“Always stealing my spotlight!” Yin Fan ranted. “Top marks in writing, first place in sparring, now this ‘best hunting team’ nonsense at the border city! And you DESTROYED my Xiang Jun!”
“Who ruined it? Lin Feng is my cousin; he’s a man! You mistook him for a noble lady—what’s that got to do with me?”
“If you hadn’t interfered, I’d never have made such a fool of myself and fled to this cursed border city!”
“You didn’t even ask around before proposing! How is that my fault?”
“Shut up! If I say it’s your fault, it’s your fault!”
“You’re impossible!”
You You: “……”
Everyone: “……”
(⊙_⊙)
Whoa… Did we just hear some juicy gossip?
But now’s clearly not the time for this!
Roar~~~~~~~~~
Their fight destabilized the formation again. The River Beast sensed the weakness and rammed harder. Teammates who’d relaxed moments ago paled. Yet the two kept attacking, each strike aimed to kill.
Crap!
“Stop fighting!” You You yelled. Not the time for this!
They ignored her—
“Lin Feng, you snake!”
“Yin Fan, stop your nonsense!”
“Pick a better time to brawl!” She tried again.
Still ignored—
“Yin Fan, I’ve explained this before! Enough!”
“La la la, not listening!”
“Quit being deadweight!” She nearly cursed.
They kept going—
“Moron!”
“Jerk!”
You You: “……”
Snap. Her last shred of patience vanished. Fury exploded.
These idiots…
“ENOUGH!” She shoved between them, yanking both apart. “SHUT. UP.”
Suddenly, the River Beast shattered the formation with an ear-splitting roar—jaws snapping toward them.
ROAR~~~~~~~~~
“You You!”
"Boss!"
The teammates exclaimed.
You You remained consumed by rage. Sensing a rush of wind behind her, she instinctively swung her hand back and slapped without turning. "Stop shouting! So annoying!"
A sharp crack rang out, followed by a thunderous crash. The River Beast that had lunged at her crumpled under overwhelming force, its original body flattened into a perfect beast-shaped crater in the ground.
Silence blanketed the forest…
"……"
Huh? Huh?!

Lin Feng: "……"
Yin Fan: "……"
Teammates: "……"
( ̄△ ̄;)
What… just happened? Who were they? Where were they?
You You blinked, every fiber of her being radiating bewilderment. She’d merely swatted at it casually. How had the creature… died? She hadn’t even used proper strength!
After studying the cratered beast and her shell-shocked team, she offered weakly, "Maybe… this little monster was just too fragile?"
Everyone: "……" (Are you JOKING?!)
"Honestly, I don’t know how…" She grasped the monster’s horn to demonstrate. With a wet schlorp, the thousand-pound Tier Four River Beast emerged from the pit like a plucked turnip.
So… light?!
Lin Feng: (⊙_⊙)
Yin Fan: ∑q-Д-p
Teammates: w(Д)w
She… lifted it! That noble lady had not only slapped a Tier Four River Beast to death but now hoisted its massive bulk like dried kindling!
Then what had their life-risking battle earlier even been for?!
