“Who would have thought? How did you manage to avoid the family background check?” Winnie looked at the male student, tilting his head slightly.
“To think that someone like you, who has been devoted to Erunes since childhood, could be sent in here.”
“Classmate, what are you talking about?” The male student still wore a look of fear and confusion. “What are you trying to do? No matter how much you say, it won’t be justified to act in front of the goddess and the saintess at the Radiance Residency!”
“Enough, if you keep this up, I might as well give you a little golden statue. There’s no third person here, who are you pretending for? Are you trying to gain the sympathy of the goddess and the saintess?” Winnie impatiently scratched his ear, and a [Ice Lock] shot out from his palm towards the male student.
The male student quickly dodged, and the chain head hit the pillar beside him, narrowly escaping the attack.
“Hehe,” Winnie sneered. The chain missing didn’t mean the male student had escaped.
He retracted the chain, pulling the Ice Lock towards the male student.
Now, Winnie’s control over the ice element had become more proficient, and he had developed many new techniques for the ice magic he knew.
The [Ice Lock] was much more useful than he had imagined. This move could not only restrict the enemy but also be used to move himself, dodge others’ magic, and quickly close the distance to the enemy.
Using the pillar to quickly pull himself over could catch the enemy off guard.
Winnie had no intention of continuing to waste time with him. Once he dragged out the thirty minutes, he could completely transform from a [Sacrifice] to a [Fanatic Sharag Ghost], and then he would tear him apart with his bare hands.
“Disgusting thing, I feel uncomfortable just looking at you. Die!” Winnie had no intention of holding back, starting with a killing move.
[Frost Moon Slash]
Winnie spun gracefully in the air, the blade of his spear shining with a brilliant ice light, dragging a blue comet as it smashed towards the male student.
The male student, seeing Winnie suddenly approaching, had no time to dodge.
He gritted his teeth and could only draw the rapier from his waist to face the enemy.
Sparks ignited on the rapier, clashing with Winnie’s ice spear.
Facing Winnie’s aggressive ice element magic, the male student wisely chose to use fire element magic to counteract it.
However, unfortunately, while fire is the best choice to deal with ice magic, the levels of their magic were not equal.
The fire and ice clashed, and after melting some of the ice, the fire was instantly extinguished by the terrifying low temperature.
The rapier in the male student’s hand gradually froze, and soon, his hands would be next.
“Oh? A [Magic Swordsman]? So your magic talent is three stars?” Winnie raised an eyebrow. “With such good magic talent, why not do something else instead of becoming a disgusting pest?”
“Classmate, no matter how much you slander me, it won’t make your actions justified!” The male student endured the cold, gritting his teeth in anger.
“Wow, what acting. If I couldn’t smell the stench of a rotting corpse covered in maggots on you, I might have believed it,” Winnie said coldly. “You can deceive others, but not me.”
Winnie pressed on, forcing the male student to retreat step by step, even as ice cocoons formed at his feet.
“Calling me a Demon Pillar cultist, I think you are the Demon Pillar cultist! Oh, I get it, you are the one hiding among the students, a Demon Pillar cultist, right? Using the name of ‘eliminating Demon Pillar cultists’ to harm other students… you are the wolf hiding among the sheep!” The male student seemed to realize something, glaring at Winnie.
“You talk too much. I’ll send you to meet your master now,” Winnie said coldly.
The terrifying ice element on [Frost Fang] was almost covering the male student’s hands, and he was in a panic.
There was clearly a gap between them. The male student’s level was higher than Winnie’s, but this gap was pulled back by [Frost Fang], allowing Winnie to suppress the male student.
“Die, and then I will kill all your accomplices in the academy.” Winnie didn’t plan to use [Frost Roar] since he could already defeat the enemy with [Frost Moon Slash].
The sacrifice was too great, and the academy was very dangerous tonight, with more than one battle.
“Ahhh!” The ice cocoon covered the male student’s hands, which were already frozen by the terrifying low temperature released by [Frost Fang].
The ice spear in Winnie’s hand seemed to bite into his hands, sticking to them. Now, even if he wanted to escape, it was too late.
“Bastard, you bastard!” The male student was furious, cursing Winnie and even spitting at him. The spit turned into a few inconspicuous spikes in the air, stabbing towards Winnie’s face.
At the last moment, a metal armor covered Winnie’s body, and the spikes hit the [Armor Fortress] without even sparking before falling to the ground.
“Oh, you have hidden weapons? Trying to ambush me? No wonder you are called the rats of the sewers, only knowing these dirty tricks.”
Seeing the hidden weapon being dodged, the male student felt like he had run out of tricks. His arms were about to be frozen, and there was still a little time left for the complete transformation.
Given the current situation, it was clear that he couldn’t drag it out until the transformation was complete.
“Phew, so tired, where is this?” At this moment, a third voice came out. A very clueless male student accidentally arrived in front of the Radiance Residency, looking around. The clear stupidity on his face showed that he was a first-year student.
When he saw the two people fighting, both students of Carillian Academy, he was stunned, then asked in confusion, “What are you doing? Why are you fighting at this time?”
Winnie didn’t speak, not wanting to explain.
He just wanted to quickly deal with the big trouble in front of him, and then reveal the disguise on his body. Seeing the red patterns under his clothes, everything would be explained.
“Do you have any usual conflicts? Stop fighting now! It’s not the time to fight. It’s already a mess outside, with the Demon Pillar cultists attacking the academy, and you are still fighting here. Isn’t this…” Seeing that the two didn’t listen to him, the male student quickly said.
“Classmate, I don’t want to fight with him either, but he started fighting with me as soon as we met, slandering me as a Demon Pillar cultist. I don’t know what’s going on!” At this time, the male student facing Winnie spoke innocently.
“I think someone is guilty and trying to shift the blame.”
“You… anyway, stop fighting first!” The male student saw this and immediately wanted to step forward to mediate.
“You idiot, what are you doing? Get out of here!” Winnie said coldly.
However, before Winnie could finish speaking, the Demon Pillar cultist facing him spat again, but this time not at the iron-clad armour, but at the male student trying to mediate.
Winnie thought to himself that this was bad.
These spikes were very inconspicuous, with strong penetration, and it was uncertain if they were poisonous. With the clueless first-year student completely unaware, it was almost certain he would be hit.
This idiot!
Now Winnie faced two choices: one, ignore it and kill the Demon Pillar cultist in front of him who was about to complete the transformation, and let the male student’s life or death depend on his own luck.
The other was to abandon the Demon Pillar cultist and go save the clueless male student, and it was uncertain if he could save him.
Winnie made the choice without hesitation.
“Get out!” Winnie retracted his magic, no longer sticking to the Demon Pillar cultist, and with a spear strike, he pushed him back, then shot a [Ice Lock] towards the male student who was still clueless about what was happening.
Fortunately, he made the decision quickly, and the [Ice Lock] flew faster than the spikes.
Winnie arrived in front of him before the spikes, and the spikes hit the thick armor, falling to the ground with a crisp sound.
“This, this?” The male student finally realized that the male student had attacked him, and the iron-clad man in front of him had saved him.
“What on earth is going on?” The male student felt his brain was about to overload.
“Didn’t I tell you not to come here?” Winnie glared at the male student, then turned to look at the Demon Pillar cultist standing still, head down.
“I, I didn’t mean to…” The male student, though still not understanding what was going on, seemed to realize that he had caused trouble.
“Damn it, when you’re unlucky, even drinking water can choke you,” Winnie shook his head, no longer saying anything to him, since it was already done.
“Hehe, hahaha!” The Demon Pillar cultist suddenly laughed wildly, his voice becoming bloated and blurry, as if he had turned into another creature.
He tore off his clothes, and the dark red lines on his skin were like swollen blood vessels, clearly visible, as if they would burst out at any moment.
Winnie watched this scene with a frown, knowing that the transformation of this [Sacrifice] could not be stopped.
He sighed softly. To be honest, he didn’t know why he had made such a choice.
Perhaps he was indeed a selfish person.
But, how to put it.
It had nothing to do with morality, nothing to do with interests, and nothing to do with personal life and death. He just felt that he couldn’t stand by and watch someone die.
Who knows how many families are connected to this one life?
“You, get out of here,” Winnie said without turning his head. “What’s coming next is not something you can handle. If you want to live to see your parents, get out of here now and call the combat instructor.”
“Oh, oh!” After a moment of daze, the male student finally reacted, looking at the blood-filled monster in front of him, somewhat understanding the situation.
“Then, what about you?” Before leaving, the male student couldn’t help but ask.
“Without someone here to block him, do you think he can’t come over and tear you apart right now?” Winnie pointed at the monster.
“Oh, oh!”
“Wrong, I can come over right now and tear both of you apart,” the bloated, blood-vessel-covered monster grew a pair of strange horns, and its back was covered with tentacles like some giant creature.
The monster, now three meters tall, had a human-like smirk on its face.
“This day, I have been waiting for it,” the [Fanatic] looked at his newly grown hands, clenching them into fists that could easily crush a human head.
“To shed that fragile and powerless human body and identity, no longer pretending to be a foolish lamb, to embrace the truth, is so refreshing!”
“You are crazy, to not want to be a human but to become a Demon Pillar’s fuel,” Winnie said, carrying his spear. “Is this the so-called [Fanatic]? Tsk, it’s ugly. What’s so happy about becoming such a monster?”
The Fanatic suddenly raised his head, the tentacles on his back whipping the ground, deeply embedded in it, and then, like a slingshot, his body shot out like a crimson missile, hitting Winnie.
The male student was so scared that he ran out of the Radiance Residency.
This terrifying speed was impossible to dodge, and Winnie knew it, so he used [Ice Steel] on the spot.
“Boom, boom, boom!” Like a red bomb diving down, in the smoke, Winnie flew out, smashing into the wall, holding onto [Frost Fang] to prevent himself from falling to the ground.
“Oh? Not bad, you can actually block my dive. If it were someone else, their organs would have been shattered by now,” the Fanatic’s rough voice was full of surprise and mockery.
Winnie also realized that the Fanatic had used magic skill, right? No, this was a pure physical dive. With the double protection of [Ice Steel] and [Armor Fortress], physical damage should have no effect on him.
But the other party had only used physical attacks to shatter his [Ice Steel], making him crash into the wall, blood gushing from his mouth.
Is this the power of a Demon God’s follower, who can even defeat a master?
Even his strongest physical defense couldn’t withstand it. The gap between them was not small.
“I remember, you almost crippled my hand, right?” the Fanatic clenched his fist, saying fiercely.
“Now, it’s my turn. I won’t let you die so easily. I will pull your fingers off one by one!” As he spoke, the Fanatic’s tentacles rooted into the ground, pulling him into a slingshot.
He flew towards Winnie at a speed that was hard to see with the naked eye, his hand grabbing towards Winnie’s head.
This terrifying speed made Winnie unable to use [Frost Roar], as if he could only wait for death.
Winnie gritted his teeth, and at this moment, he noticed that his virtue had increased without him noticing.
‘Virtue + 100.’
‘Current Virtue: 304.’
Huh? What’s going on?
The Fanatic’s giant claw was only five steps away from Winnie’s head when a dazzling golden light descended, forming a golden flame barrier between Winnie and the Fanatic, pushing the Fanatic back.
What was that?
The golden light was too dazzling, making Winnie unable to open his eyes. When his vision cleared, he saw the holy sword standing between him and the Fanatic, like an indestructible barrier.
Winnie was shocked.
Who the owner of the holy sword was, needless to say.
A silver-haired girl with a black butterfly knot stood gracefully on the sword guard, her hands crossed, her silver hair like moonlight, gently blown by the wind.
