Chapter 9
With anticipation, Fu Yue emerged from the nutrient pod early in the morning.
However, as it turned out, she didn’t need to wake up so early at all.
Breakfast will be in her room within five minutes. Without makeup tools, she could only honestly show her natural beauty without needing makeup.
As for clothes, after having her own room, there were additions. But without Fu Yue’s chip identifying them, she couldn’t tell the difference between summer cool version and winter heated version with just her eyes.
The same silver-white tight outfit and identical coat were her daily outfit.
But none of this could affect her good mood today.
After getting everything ready, Fu Yue happily opened the door to the living room. Looking up, unsurprisingly, in the middle of the living room, she saw the owner dressed in matching outfits like parent and child.
He stood straight, looking from the tall wall Fu Yue had raised. She could see his slender legs, excellent body proportions, and features combining the best of Eastern and Western qualities.
Honestly, Fu Yue thought that if he didn’t speak, he could be considered a pleasing boss.
As she walked in, Arnold walked out, giving her a glance midway, signaling her to follow.
Outside the white house, Fu Yue saw a very advanced-looking spaceship floating on the ground. After Arnold stepped onto the spaceship, Fu Yue was left staring blankly at the hatchway.
"Oh…" Before Fu Yue could even call out, Arnold had already walked in.
Fu Yue looked at the difficult challenge in front of her, then watched the man’s confident back without hesitation.
The boss left so decisively, she must have thought to herself… it should be easy for her to go up too, right?
So Fu Yue took a few steps back, took a running start, and successfully got her upper body inside the door. She grabbed onto the floor of the ship with force, that’s it!
Then Fu Yue helplessly watched herself slide back down.
Who could tell her why the floor was so slippery? And why was this hatchway suspended so high!
Fu Yue, who had fallen to the ground, got up, brushed off the dew on her body, and was preparing for another challenge. When she looked up, she saw her boss finally realizing she was not there, and retracing his steps to the hatchway.
"I… I can’t come up, it’s a bit too high here." Fu Yue, who didn’t know how long her boss had been watching, felt a bit embarrassed and scratched her head.
After Arnold watched the pet struggle to climb onto the spaceship, he decided to give her a reward. He squatted down, reached his hands under her arms on both sides, and lifted the whole pet’s body into the spaceship like this.
Holding his pet in his hands, Arnold felt the soft and light pet in his hands. Plus, she had a scent from her genes. When he came to his senses, he had already directly taken her into the seat on the spaceship.
Looking at the well-behaved pet, Arnold nodded in satisfaction and said, "Call me if you can’t get on the spaceship in the future."
Faced with such a humanized service, Fu Yue naturally replied, "Yes! Thank you, General."
Initially thinking that the spaceship flight would be long and boring, Fu Yue had prepared several alien shows to watch on the LCD screen. Unexpectedly, in less than an hour, they had traveled through interstellar teleportation and arrived at Winged Bee City.
After getting off the spaceship, Fu Yue finally saw this interstellar metropolis.
UFOs were shuttling between the crowded high-rise buildings, and there were numerous aerial transport tunnels and floating buildings. In the distance, a huge 3D projection was depicting a massive and realistic flood show.
The flood poured out from a huge crystal basin and rushed towards the streets. However, the people walking on the streets did not panic at the scene. They continued to walk towards their destination, laughing and talking in the midst of the flood projection.
Everything here amazed Fu Yue. Glancing at the street, she noticed that although there were various looking aliens, most of them surprisingly resembled humans. They just occasionally showed their fins on their ears or soft arms.
Then she saw a floating ship moving forward on the street. Just as she was about to turn around and ask Arnold, she noticed his tall figure had already walked past her. He glanced at her and said, "Keep up."
And then Fu Yue never got to enjoy any scenery or flood again. Because she was busy chasing after her owner all the way.
"Huff… puff…" Twisting and turning… dodging pedestrians around… couldn’t run anymore, really couldn’t run anymore… watching Arnold ahead walking calmly with his two long legs, Fu Yue couldn’t help feeling angry. This is just a small step for the Zerg tribe, while the Blue Star people are running until their legs break.
She vowed she would never like long legs anymore.
After resting her knees in place for a while, she looked up again. She saw a gust of yellow sand coming straight towards her!
No! Terrified, Fu Yue could only helplessly cover her head with her hands and crouch down, but the expected weight never came. It was only later that she realized it was another large 3D projection.
Oh no, where is Arnold!
Now Fu Yue used the last of her strength to catch up, running around corners, even running up to a high platform, but she didn’t see Arnold’s figure.
Standing dumbly in the middle of the road, looking around at the various alien people coming and going, Fu Yue finally believed that Arnold had lost her… Ahh! That unlucky Arnold! That bored 3D projection!
Frantically and anxiously, Fu Yue ran back and forth on this road several times, still not finding a trace of him.
Anger and panic slowly faded away as time passed, confusion filled Fu Yue’s mind. Looking up at the alien technology that had seemed so fascinating before, now only appeared cold and colorful.
Where am I?
With a vague memory, she recalled they seemed to have entered the interior of a large store.
Seeing a towering tree projected ahead, Fu Yue slowly walked towards it, sat under the tree on a public bench already placed there, lifted her feet and hugged herself.
Among the hustle and bustle, a woman with lizard-like hands caught Fu Yue’s attention. Not because she was pretty, but because of the rope on her hands, leading a floating wooden board on the ground. And on the board, her pet – a dog-sized caterpillar – lay leisurely on top, seemingly silently mocking her.
Why not get one of those boards for her too, for safety, to avoid breaking a leg, who cares about a little dignity!
Suddenly, a mechanical reminder sound echoed throughout the mall, startling Fu Yue.
[Ding dong, ding dong. A pet is missing in the mall. Name: Aer. Species: Sandskin Et. Features: Blue eyes, white fur…] With the announcement playing, holographic unicorns appeared in many places in the mall.
Fu Yue looked at the unicorn, blue eyes, white fur. It must be the one that got lost!
This lost pet notice gave her hope.
She should go and report the lost pet! Even flying horses can get lost, so it’s normal for a Zerg tribe member to go missing!
Just as she stood up to go check the nearest lost pet notice board, she was surrounded by three "people" who seemed to have come out of nowhere.
Although these three people were not as tall as Arnold, they still seemed like giants to Fu Yue.
"What… what do you want?" Fu Yue’s heart was pounding, and she kept stepping back until she hit the chair she had been sitting on before, stumbled, and was forced to sit back down.
Then the man with scales all over his face to her right leaned in, and through a gap, Fu Yue noticed a long tail trailing behind him. He came closer, grabbed Fu Yue’s shoulder, and she realized she couldn’t move at all!
His hands were covered in scales! And so cold!
"Beautiful lady, what species are you?" the man with scales asked.
Then the man in the middle also approached, his reptilian traits even more pronounced, with huge reptilian feet exposed and sharp, thick nails, which frightened Fu Yue.
"Oh, have you all smelt that lovely scent? It seems… it’s coming from this beautiful lady."
Fu Yue looked pale. She knew she hadn’t sprayed any perfume on herself, so there was only one answer… "I smell it too, a delicious smell of meat…" A third ‘person’ joined in, occasionally sticking out their snake-like tongue, sniffing the air.
What’s wrong with you all? You keep talking about this beauty, but in reality, you’re not attracted to her looks. Stealing her would be so much better, her meat is really not tasty!
"Don’t come near me, I am the pet of the Kurds!" Yes, this is Krypton Star, after all, the home of the Kurds.
As if on the same wavelength, another announcement for a missing pet echoed through the mall.
[Ding dong, ding dong. Emergency, emergency! In the mall, a precious pet of a Kurdish general has gone missing. Name: Blue Star People’s Pet. Breed: Blue Star People.] Fu Yue’s head suddenly felt dizzy, whose name… whose name would be Blue Star People’s Pet, who!! You must be mistaken!!
Despite Fu Yue’s breakdown, the broadcast continued.
[Features: Black eyes, black fur, white skin, wearing a silver-white ‘ad’ brand protective suit. Please return the found guests as soon as possible, please return the found guests as soon as possible, otherwise we cannot guarantee your safety.]. Then Fu Yue’s image lit up in various places in the square.
Though the broadcast wasn’t ideal, having a 3D life-sized version of herself popping up all over the square was embarrassing, Fu Yue had to admit, it was really helpful for her now!
She glared at the three "people" in front of her and gained confidence. She pointed to her own projection on the side and said to them, "See that? I am the pet from the lost pet notice. You can’t do anything to me! You better return me to the service desk right now, I promise not to say anything bad about you."
But as soon as these three people saw the lost pet notice, their eyes lit up even more. They moved closer to Fu Yue, and the person in the middle even reached out and grabbed Fu Yue’s arm…
