Chapter 10
Fu Yue felt her heart in her throat. Could her flesh really be so tempting, making them so determined to pursue her even though they knew she already had someone!
The man in the middle heard about the lost pet notice and even grabbed the hand of the Blue Star people in front of him. Kurds’ pet! This was getting serious!
He firmly held the hand of the Blue Star people and began to introduce, "Although you may have already eaten barbecue, where we are going now…" Before he could finish, Fu Yue suddenly felt the restraints on her hands and shoulders disappear. The next moment, with a loud bang, all three of them were thrown more than twenty meters, crashing into the wall at the end of the road before falling down, ending their parabolic trajectory and experiencing free fall.
Fu Yue immediately looked in the opposite direction.
She saw a familiar tall figure standing right next to her, just a step away. When Fu Yue instinctively reached out, Arnold had already lifted her up.
Facing his Blue Star people pet, feeling the warmth in his hands, Arnold confirmed that his pet had indeed returned.
Just now, when he was walking towards the store, he looked back and realized that his pet was missing.
At that moment, he felt a strange emotion that he couldn’t describe, but Arnold was sure that he could feel it.
"Anger mixed with some urgency and nervousness," this was 1086’s analysis of his emotions, a feeling called "anxiety" that had just formed in his body.
After a slight forced calmness, he made the judgment that "the pet wouldn’t have left the mall." He quickly informed the mall’s broadcast system, scanning and searching for pedestrians on the way, then quickly returned along the original path.
When he saw his pet surrounded by three and a half orcs from afar, especially when he saw them touching the pet, anger took over his reason. Kurds’ anger usually leads to violence.
But after pushing them out of sight, he didn’t kick them anymore, instead he turned around and picked up his pet.
Arnold looked at his pet in his arms, feeling very satisfied.
Well, very good. He clearly felt that the anxiety and anger on him had vanished.
His eyes looked back and forth on his pet, not finding any injuries, but his sharp sense of smell detected the scent of other orcs on the pet’s body.
This made Arnold feel a hint of anger rising in his heart again.
Different from the mixed emotions Arnold just had, Fu Yue felt a sense of tranquility when she saw her boss again.
Even though the Zerg tribe in front of her was taller and stronger than the three she just encountered, she was not worried at all.
Finally, this Zerg tribe came to rescue her! Now that’s what a professional caretaker should do!
As Arnold lifted Fu Yue off the ground, she looked at the big boss of the Zerg tribe. Although his features looked the same as before, she thought he looked even more handsome now. Even his cold gaze seemed kind and gentle through Fu Yue’s filter.
Just as Fu Yue was enjoying this cozy atmosphere and landing on the ground, something suddenly appeared in front of her. She curiously stared at it and was suddenly sprayed in the face with mist.
Fu Yue, "…" Seems like she shouldn’t have too many expectations for this caretaker.
Before she could open her tightly closed senses due to the shock, she felt herself being surrounded by mist from all directions. The smell was the strange perfume scent she had smelled on Arnold before.
What does this mean? Is this person really expressing disgust at her running for so long and getting all sweaty?
He thought this was all because of someone!
Fu Yue, who had regained her composure, immediately opened her eyes, turned her head, and looked at Arnold who was diligently spraying perfume on her back. Unexpectedly, she was sprayed in the face again.
Fu Yue wiped her face, faced Arnold, and said slowly, "My name is Fu Yue."
Her implication was clear – either call her Fu Yue or come up with a new name for her. She did not want to hear anyone call her "Blue Star people’s pet" again!
Upon hearing this, Arnold stopped what he was doing and stared at Fu Yue intently.
Why are you staring at her like that, say something, please! A handsome alien guy was staring at her expressionlessly, making her feel a lot of pressure.
So, under the boss’s gaze, Fu Yue timidly added in a soft voice, "Definitely not called Blue Star people’s pet…" Fu Yue felt a bit numb on her scalp under his intense gaze before he slowly uttered, "Fu Yue."
Fu Yue: !!!! Did he just call her by her name?
Realizing, Fu Yue quickly nodded, "Yes, yes!"
Has she saved her name?
That’s really something to celebrate.
"Fu Yue," Arnold called out again.
"Yes?" Fu Yue’s mood lifted with a smile.
Arnold handed over the bottle of perfume hesitantly and said, "This is a bottle of… Gene Spray. When you spray it on yourself, it can greatly protect you from being bothered by other alien beings."
Fu Yue was pleasantly surprised and pointed at herself, "For me?"
"Yes."
With Arnold’s approval, Fu Yue immediately embraced the perfume. She didn’t expect the perfume to not only smell good but also have such a practical function!
Suddenly realizing her actions seemed a bit too eager, Fu Yue discreetly stole a glance at Arnold.
Unexpectedly, Arnold was staring blankly at Fu Yue’s hand where the perfume was, not paying attention to her at all. Though his face showed no expression, it made Fu Yue feel a bit… confused?
It’s impossible, impossible. Thinking back to the boss’s previous behavior, Fu Yue crossed out her naive thoughts. Looking at Arnold again, he still had that cold look.
That’s just normal, right?
He reached into another dimension and pulled out a box from inside. Fu Yue leaned in and saw a pure white bracelet lying inside the box.
"What’s this?" Fu Yue asked curiously.
"A locator." Arnold said, then he grabbed Fu Yue’s hand and put the bracelet around her wrist, "This way we won’t get separated."
Fu Yue glanced at Arnold, then lowered her head to twist her wrist, looking at the bracelet that always floated in the center of her wrist. Fu Yue felt like she was getting too much good luck today.
First a locator, then pepper spray, and now he even knew her name… is this the boss’s way of compensating for work injuries?
However, now that she had both of them, Fu Yue felt she shouldn’t miss this opportunity. Trying to appeal to Arnold’s sympathy, she mentioned the floating board she had seen on the street before.
Arnold didn’t expect Fu Yue to describe something to him and in response, he took out a book and explained the principle of a hoverboard in great detail, as she had hoped.
Big brother, I really don’t care how it works… After smiling through the entire scientific explanation in order to have healthy legs in the future, Fu Yue continued to hint, "General, you see, I won’t be able to keep up with you on the street. Even though I have a tracker, so I won’t get lost, it’s still troublesome for you to wait for me to catch up."
Arnold nodded, looked at the information in his hands, then glanced at Fu Yue with a strange smile, saying, "Go buy a hoverboard."
"Thank you, General!"
Half an hour later, to Fu Yue’s hopeful look, Arnold nodded and paid the bill.
Excitedly clutching the skateboard reportedly made of mother-of-pearl crystal, Fu Yue walked out of the store with Arnold. Standing on the hoverboard, Fu Yue gently pushed off and could feel the breeze lightly blowing on her face… That kind of joy without having to run and tire her legs.
Now, she could effortlessly walk beside her boss, and if she wanted, she could even go up into the air for a spin before coming back down.
Ah, is this the happiness brought by high technology!
Love it, love it.
