Chapter 73: The Giant God is Closer than a Father!
The land was boiling, the ocean was boiling, and the mountain peaks were boiling!
The melee between the deities was truly earth-shattering!
When the giant fish burst from the ocean, it sent waves soaring a hundred meters high; He drove and engulfed massive volumes of seawater that crashed down like a deluge. Tsunamis ravaged the entire coastline.
Though waves beyond the giant fish’s immediate reach fell short of a hundred meters, the nearly fifty-meter swells proved deadly enough; they swept over the entire coast, mercilessly dragging the demon legion still lingering near the shoreline into the sea!
Yet this was merely a prelude.
“Boom! Boom! Boom!”
“Boom——!”
“Roar!”
The Giant God, with limbs resembling fins, somehow dragged His colossal bulk across the land.
Under the horrified gazes of the Solar Knight and the demons, He suddenly surged forward, ramming headlong into a deity blocking His path!
That terrifying maw—like hell’s own gate—yawned wide before His giant "chopper" teeth snapped shut!
“Craaaack——!”
One of Demon God Wabla’s subordinate officials was bitten clean in half!
The Giant God unceremoniously swallowed the lower half while discarding the upper portion, which writhed agonizingly on the ground.
The excruciating pain of bisection twisted the soul of the Chaotic Secondary God.
This torment stemmed not only from losing half His form, but also from the sacred-infused liquid in the Giant God’s maw—it seeped into the wounded god’s essence, burning and torturing Him from within.
Even the cruelest demons stood petrified by such savagery.
Unsatisfied, the Giant God advanced further, targeting Wabla—executor of the "Time of the End" and core councilor of chaos!
The Giant God’s speed proved immense in water. Even after charging ashore, His momentum remained formidable. Wabla, already drained from the prior divine clash, saw His magic halved and His strength spent.
Caught off-guard and briefly stunned, He couldn’t muster god-slaying magic in time!
“Boom——!”
The mighty Wabla was hurled down by the collision!
The Giant God’s massive head then lunged sideways, seizing the shameful traitor—the "false Earth God" Manfred!
“Chomp—Chomp—Chomp—!”
Clamped between the Giant God’s jaws, Manfred’s spider-like body thrashed violently as His captor shook Him with tremendous force.
The disgraceful Manfred wailed helplessly, His form flailing under the assault, spewing divine ichor into the sea!
Finally…
“Pshhh——!”
Manfred’s body was torn asunder. The left half smashed onto land, spilling entrails across the ground; His remains rumbled forward for kilometers before halting.
Even this partial divine form was staggeringly massive; its weight dented the earth as it rolled thunderously onward.
To the gods’ ears, faint, nearly imperceptible screams echoed.
That was the demon legion in the rear ranks.
"No—!"
"Help!"
"Run! But… where to run?"
The half-body of the "false Earth God" thrashed and crashed through everything, flattening demons regardless of size!
The remaining Order-side army froze at this "terrifying" yet "glorious" sight.
"Great is the Giant God!"
Glade, commander of the Ashen Knights, drove his great sword into the ground and knelt on one knee, praying toward the magnificent divine battle.
"Great is the Giant God!"
The "followers of light" formed into a phalanx and knelt too, praying toward the mighty battlefield.
"What do you think?"
Albert Drake stood before the "defeatist" generals, looking down at them.
"This…"
"Um…"
Generals who once followed other gods exchanged glances. Without a word, they grabbed their weapons.
"Kill—!"
"From now on, we’re the Holy Light Giant God’s most loyal followers!"
"Yes! The Holy Light Giant God is dearer than my own father!"
"Blood sacrifice for the Giant God! Offerings to the divine throne!"
Their reactions were lightning-fast.

After Trilobite ripped apart the "big spider," he realized it wasn’t a spider.
"Hmm…"
"It’s a Sea Scorpion, I think."
It looked like a spider but wasn’t closely related.
Trilobite studied the half-body in his hands. He recognized the species by its rear "sword-tail" like a Sea Scorpion’s and its boxy front torso.
Sea Scorpions lived in Carboniferous rainforests, about basketball-sized. They scurried under thick bushes, eating small insects and worms.
Though spider-like, they couldn’t spin silk and had no venomous fangs. They moved clumsily and died out from true spiders and climate shifts.
The BBC documentary "Walking with Monsters" once showed a Carboniferous "giant spider" called Mesothelae—basketball-sized, claiming it might hunt cats today.
But that was exaggerated, like the 25-meter Mosasaurus in "Walking with Dinosaurs." Real Mesothelae were coin-sized; cats would toy with them today.
The mistake happened because BBC mixed up Mesothelae with Sea Scorpions.
"SSsss…"
Trilobite took a sip of the juice dripping from the Sea Scorpion.
“Ah, delicious!”
“This feeling was like shrimp just pulled from the ocean, rinsed fast, and dipped in boiling water; the juice that bursts out when crushed by molars.”
“Ah, but this wasn’t the time to enjoy food.”
“I need to handle the ingredients first!”
With that thought, Trilobite turned and bit hard on the creature struggling with its eight legs up.
“Hibert horseshoe crab, the heaviest arthropod of the Carboniferous period, the last glory and shame of the sea scorpion family; I was truly honored to taste you!”
Although the Hibert horseshoe crab didn’t look like a true Sea Scorpion, it was the family’s last flicker; these creatures stumbled in the muddy pools of the Devonian period, scavenging trash to eat, their shameful backs showing the end of the once-dominant horseshoe crab family that ruled oceans and freshwater.
Still, the Hibert horseshoe crab measured up to 1.6 meters in length, making it the heaviest arthropod ever, even heavier than the giant dragonfly of the Carboniferous period.
And today, as the Divine Body of the Chaos Demon God, this Hibert horseshoe crab was about to witness the Time of the End, a nearly shameful failure.
“Ah—woo—!”
The huge mouth snapped down, and Trilobite’s scissor-like jaws, inherited from Duncker’s fish, bit hard into the Hibert horseshoe crab’s soft, defenseless belly.
“Puh!”
The massive mouth sank into the flesh and yanked upward hard!
“Zii—!”
Juices splattered all over Trilobite’s face, but it didn’t hurt him; instead, he greedily licked his lips.
Oddly shaped scraps spilled out, lying on the Hibert horseshoe crab’s belly.
But Trilobite had no plan to end his opponent’s pain.
He left the creature behind and turned toward the ocean.
The beach ingredients had unique tastes; how could he waste nature’s gifts!?
Yet, the smaller horseshoe crabs and others were already fleeing in panic.
But they were bound to not escape!
Because…
“Rebellious thieves—!”
With the Family Tree held high, the middle finger pointed at the world, it stood tall in every fleeing creature’s mind!
