Chapter 43: Cut Off the Sea God’s Right Arm!
“You… you… you…”
The Sea God High Priest, Mr. Teach, got up from his seat.
He stared at the headless corpse of the spiritual sea dragon and stammered.
With his mind almost blank, he could not imagine how this flat, ugly "bio battleship" had turned things around and killed the spiritual sea beast.
Priest Teach knew this "spiritual sea beast."
It was said that it had been raised by the sea god with divine power since childhood and was one of the sea god’s most beloved "pets." It had long stayed with its companions near Sea God Agor, punishing many enemies and arrogant fools for Agor.
Its power was certain.
But how could it die from one hit!?
Was the great Agor’s mighty sea beast made of paper!?
Or was this thing before him… too strong!?
Priest Teach could not understand why the "core" of this bio battleship, the woman who calmly gave the "final ultimatum," dared to attack Agor’s "spiritual sea beast"!
If subordinate officials were servants of the sea god, and followers were pawns and tools, then the "spiritual sea beast" stood between them; at least it was seen as a "pet."
The deity at least thought of the spiritual sea beast as a "living thing."
That was such big favor!
And if a follower killed the "pet" of a deity…
No matter what, that follower was doomed.
Because if the god he believed in had a normal mind and wanted to stay in the Order-side of this world, he had to hand over that follower to calm the other’s anger!
Since he was already wrong, he had to fix it!
But Priest Teach felt no urge to mock the other.
His deity seemed to have shaken off the shock, and what came next was…
Rage!
The sea god’s anger spread over the whole sea, and the huge divine power crashed down, nearly crushing Priest Teach’s vertebrae.
He fell to his knees…
“Buzz——!”
“Wait…!”
“Great sea god!”
“Please… please hear me out!”
“Ah——!”
Priest Teach begged for forgiveness, but why would the sea god, whose pet had just died, care about the prayer of a mere "object"?
“Please… please spare me…”
“Ah…”
The High Priest clutched his body, feeling the god’s fury torment him, burning every cell with surging divine power.
He no longer cared about the beautiful and voluptuous Duchess; all he wanted was to survive and return.
But hope was slim.
Since Sea God Agor’s “pet,” the spiritual sea beast, had been killed, things had escalated further!
This new god, who had just arrived, rejected the sea god’s “gentle” advice. Instead of letting his followers and sea beasts die quietly, he went further and killed Agor’s “pet.”
Since the “gentle” advice proved useless, a more brutal “advice” was needed.
This was what they called…
Divine Punishment!
“Do you know what you’ve done!?”
“You fool!”
“Soon… soon the god’s punishment will come!”
“The great Agor… will… will send His right hand!”
“You… you can’t resist a god!”
At that point, he couldn’t continue. The “divine punishment” had begun, and Priest Teach struggled in agony, only able to squirm.
Meanwhile…
“Roar——!”
A furious roar echoed through the sea.
“Whoosh——!”
A massive figure, like an armored shrimp, swept over Trilobite’s head!
By the shadow, the creature was at least twice the size of Giant God’s Radiance!
Its weight was eight times that!
Its terrifying body stirred violent currents.
Most of its body was wrapped in shell-like armor, with jagged spikes at the front and back.
Only its eyes on stalks and a pair of sharp pincers extended out!
“Uh… that is…”
The light in Sea God High Priest Teach’s eyes faded as the deity arrived.
The sea god’s divine torment made him take his last breath in pain.
But before dying, he shouted the newcomer’s name.
In truth, Sulya didn’t need Teach to “explain.”
“Agor’s right hand! Feimafenger!”
The ocean people hid in the sea, naturally greeting the “sea god,” who held great influence over the waters. Even if they didn’t greet him, they had to learn about Sea God Agor.
Even if he refused to aid the ocean people, he still counted as half a "landlord."
Therefore, Sulya knew exactly which "Secondary Gods" served under the sea god.
"Feimafenger, the ‘God of Hurricanes,’ was a Secondary God known as the sea god’s right hand alongside Eldir, the ‘God of Typhoons.’"
"Legends claimed these brothers embodied the sea god’s wrath."
"That fiend was brutal and greedy, often whipping up storms and tsunamis to shatter ships and ravage coastlines, slaughtering countless innocent lives."
"Such actions! One might mistake him for the Chaos God!"
Sulya’s words held some exaggeration.
The Chaos God sought the world’s end—the utter erasure of all civilization. But even the cruelest Order God merely craved endless torment for living creatures, sparing lives at least.
Overall, the Order God stood merely fifty steps above the Chaos God.
Just fifty steps!
See? The newly arrived "God of Hurricanes" offered no warnings or chatter. He instantly unleashed raging waves!
"Boom——!"
"Ah!"
"Damn——!"
"Giant God protect us!"
The "chosen female knights," locked in combat with the divine guards on the seabed and nearing victory, were scattered by the terrifying surge!
Most managed to anchor themselves by driving swords into the ocean floor, escaping disaster. Yet a dozen, caught in the tempest’s heart, were swept helplessly away by the currents.
Naturally, the divine guards—nearly beheaded by the knights—fared worse.
They wailed, chanting the sea god’s name, but no answer came. Powerless, they were dragged toward oblivion.
"Sisters! Beware!"
"Feimafenger! Face me!"
Blinded by fury, Sulya raised her giant hammer, taunting the foe—hoping to seize his attention.
The ploy worked.
His target was indeed Sulya!
"Whoosh——!"
The dreadful Secondary Sea God plunged downward. Sulya swung her "Smashing Claw" to meet him, yet…
"Whoosh!"
Her fist struck empty air!
The Trilobite-like body proved too cumbersome, far clumsier than a mantis shrimp.
No matter how mighty the blow, missing rendered it worthless.
Instead…
"Whoosh——!"
The God of Raging Waves swam behind Sulya and made a sharp turn, charging at her flank!
His sharp "horns" pointed directly at Sulya!
“Bang——!”
“Sizzle——!”
The sharp horns did not pierce the "God-given Shell," leaving no mark, but the strong force flipped the “Giant God’s Radiance” over!
Now, her weaker "territory" lay exposed!
“Whoosh——!”
The God of Raging Waves circled again and charged back suddenly!
He stretched out his pincers from his shell!
But right then…
“Whoosh——!”
Wild ocean currents rushed in once more!
This time, they were fiercer and scarier than those from the God of Raging Waves.
“Whoosh——!”
Not only was the God of Raging Waves swept aside by the terrible current, but the "Giant God’s Radiance" got flipped hard back onto its base.
“Boom——!”
The sea floor shook too.
A huge shape rose slowly from behind the mountain.
The giant shark’s fierce Double Eyes glowed with hunger, locked onto the one about to finish off Trilobite!
—-
“Was that a Stinger?”
Trilobite circled above this odd "shrimp," as the shark’s eyes fixed on its prey.
A Stinger was a Cambrian crustacean, and it looked a bit like a shrimp dumpling.
Its whole body hid under a big shell, with only parts of its pincers and tail showing; long spiny things stuck out from both the front and back ends of the shell.
That’s how it got the name "Stinger."
“It was bigger than usual Stingers, maybe sea dragon shrimp size.”
“And in the system vision, it showed orange; I wondered how it tasted.”
“But it didn’t have much meat, which was fine.”
“Perfect for my snack!”
Just then, the Stinger seemed to grasp something.
It showed none of its old arrogance or its earlier colossal beast form, and had no will to fight back.
“Sizzle——!”
It blew out a ring of scared bubbles and turned to flee!
But…
“Hey!”
“Whoosh——!”
With a cold call, the colossal being chased from behind.
“Our Trilobite got taken care of by you!”
“And our microbes got a treat from you too!”
“I really needed to thank you good!”
The giant jaws opened wide!
The massive fangs got ready!
“Ah—— woo——!”
“Bang——!”
Trilobite watched his "scissor" jaws cut the Stinger in half, dragging a blood trail as it sank. He felt a little happy from the "shrimp meat" taste, totally lost in it.
The blood smell hit his Olfactory Membranes.
The Carcharocles dipped its flesh fins without pause and gulped down the Stinger’s front half.
“500 points of Chaos Energy earned!”
“Seemed orange creatures in the system vision could give me Chaos Energy too, just a bit less.”
But this didn’t satisfy him.
The Lorentz Jar told him fresh prey, the Stinger’s pals, waited ahead!
Murderous intent flared up.
Hunger kept growing.
“Whoosh——!”
The giant shark swam forward; a new hunt began!
