Chapter 92: Title
Gu Hengbo wanted to move, but her waist was tightly trapped, especially with a soft bun in the middle. Lian Rong’s tongue came in with powerful urgency. Gu Hengbo froze, dazedly accepting this long-lost closeness.
Lian Rong felt an urgent desire for the person in front of her, tightening her arms around Gu Hengbo’s waist. Yet, they still couldn’t get closer. For the first time, she felt impatience—the little one in her arms was almost tossed away. Just when she was about to take further action, the sudden cry made her frown.
Gu Hengbo looked at Little Hong’er crying heartbreakingly in Lian Rong’s arms. It took her a moment to react as she reached out to take him, but she suddenly saw Lian Rong’s arm jerk up. She quickly went to catch him, "What are you doing?"
Lian Rong frowned, annoyed, "Throw him on the bed! Just looking at him is irritating!"
Gu Hengbo grabbed Hong’er back, hugging him tightly, "What are you arguing about with a newborn? Are you crazy? Hong’er is good, stop crying."
Lian Rong remained silent, her jealous eyes fixed on Gu Hengbo holding that annoying baby, her eyes turning red. For the first time, she thought it was a good thing she was a woman; if she were a man and had a child, that would be different.
After a while, after much coaxing, Little Hong’er finally fell asleep. Gu Hengbo had just laid him down when Lian Rong leaned over from behind. Gu Hengbo was both angry and amused. This person really couldn’t be given any sweetness; her shamelessness was higher than anyone’s. She suppressed her voice and shouted, "Are you annoying? Hong’er just fell asleep; if you wake him up, I won’t look after you!"
Lian Rong hugged her from behind, opening her mouth to bite her neck, one hand already mischievously sliding into her clothes. "Try moving again!"
Gu Hengbo stood still, watching Little Hong’er sleeping soundly in the cradle. Lian Rong’s actions made her break into a cold sweat. "Zou Yuan and my mother don’t know when they’ll come in; don’t go too far!"
Lian Rong turned her body around, pressing Gu Hengbo against herself, "What did you tell your mother about me? Why don’t you dare let her meet me?"
Gu Hengbo turned her head away sheepishly, "What should I say?"
Lian Rong lifted her chin, making her look at her, "Ah Heng, it seems you have quite a big opinion about me."
Gu Hengbo glared at her, a distorted smile on her face. "Since we are both women, why must you be so dominant? Why can’t I be humble? I’m powerless; someday when I am powerful, I’ll definitely step on your head to let you show off. Hmph!" She finished speaking!
Lian Rong fixed her gaze on her for a moment, "Don’t you think we are very suitable? Just like now, if you agree to one thing, you can ride on top of me any time after."
Gu Hengbo’s eyes widened, "What do you want me to agree to?"
Lian Rong rubbed her face with her hand and suddenly leaned down to kiss her, lingering on her lips before leaving, "This time, you can’t go back with me."
Gu Hengbo looked at her in confusion, "Why would I go back with you?"
Lian Rong held her tightly and whispered, "After this, we don’t know when we’ll meet again, but if you promise to wait for me, you can do whatever you want in the future."
Gu Hengbo popped her head out from Lian Rong’s embrace, "Are you going to die?"
Lian Rong flicked her forehead, "Nonsense. This king has a long life, and besides, there’s a beloved consort waiting here. How could I just die?"
Gu Hengbo scoffed internally, "Who said I would wait for you?"
Lian Rong helplessly adjusted her position, "Ah Heng, can you just listen to me properly?" She felt somewhat sad herself.
Gu Hengbo nodded and moved a chair to sit opposite her, straightening up with a serious expression, "You talk."
Lian Rong pulled her up, sat down herself, and then brought Gu Hengbo onto her lap. After a while, she softly said, "It might take one year, maybe two, or even longer. You don’t have to do anything, just wait for me here, okay?"
Gu Hengbo didn’t move; she tilted her head and thought, "Did I promise you anything?"
"Ah Heng, if I die, you can live your life as you wish. You can forget me or marry another man; it won’t have anything to do with me. But if I am alive, don’t even think about those things," Lian Rong rested her chin on Gu Hengbo’s shoulder, casually saying it, but her tone was very firm. "You must wait for me to come back. If I return and can’t find you, I won’t spare anyone here. Do you understand?"
Gu Hengbo felt a warmth in her eyes, staring wide-eyed at the ceiling. "I heard you. Why are you so annoying? You’re leaving, yet you keep talking so much."
Lian Rong tightened her arms around her, feeling a bit choked up. The more she did this, the more guilty she felt towards her, but how could she speak up? Although it was a bit earlier than expected, that didn’t delay her upcoming plans at all. Once this was resolved, she would be able to leave without worry.
"Don’t you love to have fun? When I come back, I will go anywhere you want with you. I will use my whole life to show you the sights your hometown doesn’t have. I hope that can make you wait for me," Lian Rong buried her face in Gu Hengbo’s neck, her voice a bit hoarse.
Gu Hengbo looked up without speaking, tears swirling in her eyes but refusing to fall. She clenched her fingers tightly together, almost grinding her teeth as she spoke, "I’ll wait for you for just one year. If I can’t see you after one year, then I, Gu Hengbo, will have nothing to do with you. Do you hear me, Lian Rong?" Why was this world so important to you? Was it worth risking your life to compete with others?
Lian Rong was taken aback, then slowly closed her eyes. "Okay, I promise you."
Finally, tears fell uncontrollably from Gu Hengbo’s eyes, and she wiped them fiercely with her sleeve. "If you don’t come back, I’ll marry that pig butcher next door and have children with him, making you regret for a lifetime, hum!"
Lian Rong turned her face to look at her, noticing her eyes were as red as a rabbit’s. Feeling a bit affectionate, she leaned in and kissed her. "Alright, if you give birth to his child early, I will make your child serve me."
Upon hearing this, Gu Hengbo pushed her away playfully, laughing and scolding, "You’re so shameless! Even the children are not spared!"
Lian Rong laughed and leaned in to kiss her again. This time, Gu Hengbo didn’t retreat and pulled Lian Rong in tightly, growling through clenched teeth, "If you dare to make me wait too long, be ready for the whip, do you hear me?"
Lian Rong was held tightly, but she didn’t say anything, allowing Gu Hengbo to express herself on her lap. "Alright, alright. How could this king let my beloved wait alone for too long? There are still some days until the beginning of next month. We should cherish our time together. How about we battle in bed for three hundred rounds?"
Gu Hengbo grabbed Lian Rong’s face, asking seriously, "Tell me honestly, are you still a virgin?"
Lian Rong buried her head in her arms, laughing silently. "Dear wife, I am still."
Gu Hengbo looked at her suspiciously. "I don’t believe you. You’re over thirty!"
Lian Rong suddenly picked her up and walked to the bed, saying, "The thing I hate most is when people mention my age. Why do you keep bringing it up? Especially since you’re not just anyone. So what if I’m over thirty? You were also an old woman in your past life at twenty-five."
"Lian Rong, you’re asking for it!" Someone immediately got angry. Who would dare call her an old woman!
Lian Rong threw her onto the bed, snickering, "A woman who can’t see the situation clearly doesn’t know who is asking for it."
"You get lost… ow… you’re on my leg… be gentle… hey!" Who can I complain to when you leave!
