Chapter 53: Title

As soon as Lian Rong entered the room, Gu Hengbo, who was lying on the bed, instinctively wrapped herself up tightly and managed to scoot into the corner of the wall. She poked her eyes out from under the blanket and stared motionlessly at the person walking closer. She might have been too tired yesterday; she didn’t wait for Lian Rong to return and dozed off, sleeping all the way until noon the next day.

“Are you awake?” Lian Rong sat down beside the bed and asked.

Gu Hengbo nodded. Seeing Lian Rong made her a bit nervous. Normally, she looked perfectly fine, being over thirty years old; was she perhaps still a virgin?

Lian Rong pulled her, blanket and all, over to her. “What’s wrong? Are you uncomfortable?”

Gu Hengbo shook her head. Aside from feeling completely worn out, she was fine; she just didn’t want to see Lian Rong.

“What kind of look is that? Are you scared of me or annoyed by me?” Lian Rong hugged her tightly, resting her forehead against Gu Hengbo’s.

Gu Hengbo instinctively wanted to pull back, but Lian Rong held her too tightly. She couldn’t move and simply blinked, “No.”

Lian Rong narrowed her eyes, gently rubbing the tip of her nose against Gu Hengbo’s face. “Wuyang told me you hardly ate last night. Come on, get up and have something to eat, okay?”

Gu Hengbo felt a bit uneasy with Lian Rong’s overly sweet tenderness, a thin blush creeping onto her cheeks as she turned her head and mumbled an “oh.”

Lian Rong helped to remove the blanket from her and was about to assist her in getting dressed when she suddenly caught sight of the kiss marks on Gu Hengbo’s skin, clear evidence of her previous night’s actions. A flicker of light passed through her eyes, barely noticeable.

In just a moment, she smiled and wrapped her arms around Gu Hengbo’s waist, helping her tie her bellyband. Feeling the uneven breath by her ear, Lian Rong tilted her head slightly and kissed those delicate, moist red lips.

Gu Hengbo was caught off guard; she placed her hands on Lian Rong’s shoulders as Lian Rong’s waist tightly pressed against her. As Lian Rong continued kissing, she shifted the position to Gu Hengbo’s chest, and Gu Hengbo’s hands unconsciously wrapped around Lian Rong’s neck. The recently tied bellyband was pulled down again.

Even though they had shared intimate moments yesterday, her body seemed extremely sensitive now; even the slightest touch from Lian Rong felt like a fire igniting uncontrollably.

Gu Hengbo’s mind couldn’t keep up until Lian Rong pressed her back onto the bed. It was then that she regained a bit of her sanity. She reached out to push Lian Rong, who seemed ready to sweep her into another whirlwind. “Can you stop acting like a seductress?”

Lian Rong paused, catching her breath, and looked at her intently without a word. Gu Hengbo felt extremely uncomfortable under her gaze, still in that position. She struggled slightly, “You’re making it hard for me to breathe.”

Lian Rong blinked her long eyelashes playfully. “Ah Heng.”

Oh… I can’t take this anymore. “Hurry up and get off me, I feel like I’m being crushed to death!” Gu Hengbo exerted all her strength and managed to push Lian Rong off her.

Lian Rong maintained her pushed-down position, looking at her innocently. “What’s wrong?”

Gu Hengbo pulled the blanket over herself and shot her a sideways glance. “Don’t pretend with me. I’m not buying it. You can pull that act on other girls.”

“……”

After Gu Hengbo filled her stomach and enjoyed a lovely petal bath, she made the most of the beautiful weather by lying in the sun, squinting her eyes. The afternoon sunshine felt simply wonderful. Although Jiulong Villa’s architecture felt quite imposing, it didn’t dampen her good mood.

Just as she was about to sigh in comfort, she noticed a figure approaching. The person looked a bit unsteady. Gu Hengbo sat up straight; wasn’t that the woman in fitted clothes from that night?

As she got closer, Gu Hengbo saw that the woman was covered in ice. Her previously flowing long hair, tied at the back, had also turned stiff. She hurried over to help, but as she got near, a chilling aura hit her, making her pull her hand back.

“Are you alright?” How could this happen? It was May; how could everything be icy?

“Is the master inside?” Tang Fang tried her best to keep her lips from quivering as she asked.

Master? “Oh, she’s napping. Wait a moment; I’ll go wake her up,” Gu Hengbo said, turning to leave.

“No need. The master doesn’t like to be disturbed during her naps. I’ll just wait outside for her to wake up,” Tang Fang said, kneeling by the door.

Gu Hengbo was startled. This girl looked pale, trembling all over, and she was kneeling now. Without thinking further, she rushed over to help her up, but the moment she touched her icy body, she gasped.

“So cold! What… what have you been doing?”

“……”

“Can you please get up? You’ll get sick like this!”

“……”

Gu Hengbo felt helpless; this girl was really stubborn. She had no choice but to turn and walk into the room. Tang Fang watched her from behind, opening her mouth but not saying anything.

Gu Hengbo pushed the door open and stepped inside. Outside, things were nearly chaotic, and the person involved was sleeping peacefully. Was it not allowed to disturb her afternoon nap? What a terrible habit!

“I say, Miss Long, it’s time to wake up.”

“……”

“Miss Long?”

“……”

“Dragon Beauty?”

“……”

Gu Hengbo was angry; this was really disrespectful. “Fox Spirit Long, get up!”

The person on the couch frowned, turned over, and continued to sleep.

Gu Hengbo looked at her peaceful face, as still as a dead person. She squinted her eyes and leaned over the soft couch to tease Lian Rong’s long eyelashes, lowering her voice, “I say, Beauty Lian, your subordinate is about to lose her life. I can’t bear to see it. Please don’t sleep any longer.”

Actually, Lian Rong was right. If she hadn’t arrived in time that night, she might have lost her life. That girl probably didn’t recognize her, which was why she would disregard her life or death. The saying “ignorance is not a crime” applied here; Lian Rong was magnanimous and wouldn’t be angry with her.

Lian Rong lightly huffed and pulled Gu Hengbo tightly, her voice lazy and unharmonious, “You come to seduce me while I’m trying to sleep.”

Gu Hengbo thought to herself, “Ugh, seriously! I’m being serious here. That girl is out there kneeling, saying she wants to see you, and she is freezing like an ice person. Could you please go out and take a look?”

Lian Rong kept her eyes closed and calmly said, “If she did something wrong, then that’s her punishment.”

Gu Hengbo was taken aback. She looked at Lian Rong’s calm expression, “How can you be like this?”

Lian Rong suddenly opened her eyes and stared at her, “She almost got you killed. Who else should I punish if not her?”

Gu Hengbo was stunned. So it was because of her? No, please, not like this! The poor girl was startled! “Alright, alright, I’m alive and well now. Miss Long, you are magnanimous, like a high official who can tolerate a ship in their belly. Please, just go out and take a look, just once.”

“Is that high official your father?”

Gu Hengbo glared, “That’s not the point. In any case, I was complimenting you!”

Lian Rong curled her lips into a smile, “What’s in it for me?”

In it for her? Gu Hengbo nodded, “Of course! I’ll cook noodles for you tonight, tomato and egg noodles. Oh, hurry up! Stop dragging your feet!”

Lian Rong slowly sat up and glanced at her coldly, “Tonight, you are sleeping with me.”

Gu Hengbo stared at her, speechless for a while, then finally said, “Are you going out or not?”

Lian Rong smiled and pinched her cheek, “Go, go, go. I was just teasing you. Where is she?”

Gu Hengbo said impatiently, “Kneeling outside. If you don’t go out now, she’ll die!” Without waiting for Lian Rong to reply, she walked out. This was so frustrating; she had never seen someone who treated life so lightly. Looking at Lian Rong, it was clear she knew what was going on but was still pretending. What a troublesome habit!
