Chapter 104, Part 2: Each One’s Understanding (2)
On that day, in the A-level practice room, Chu Yuanqing’s face bore a serious expression. Her delicate skin, tinged with rosy hues, stood out as she gazed at the golden retriever beside her.
Xie Qingxuan’s ethereal and refined features were mere inches away. Her clear eyelashes fluttered with every blink, and her plump lips, coated in a soft shade between rose and tea, exuded a velvety allure. The sight was intimate—enough to send fans into a frenzy.
The girl carried an air of strong temperament, blending masculine expression management with restrained aloofness. Her demeanor bore a mix of desire and resistance, a duality that was mesmerizing. As she naturally wrapped her arms around Chu Yuanqing’s slim waist, the touch was irresistibly soft.
Though she had experienced such contact countless times during practice, Chu Yuanqing still felt something unusual. Attributing it to “male thinking,” she found herself awkward and out of place, embraced by a younger girl of a similar age.
The vibrant, rhythmic background music added to the underlying ambiguity. Combined with the inherent excitement of the choreography, the dance seemed to teeter on the edge of the forbidden.
Xie Qingxuan, sensitive to emotions after experiencing “Heart Flow,” often found herself immersed in vivid imaginings. Every practice session with Chu Yuanqing was like encountering a pure and aloof widow in a bar—reserved yet unwittingly alluring.
She envisioned a scene: an old-fashioned seriousness entering a world of revelry, a quiet beauty swept into indulgence. Under the haze of alcohol, the once-clear eyes softened, embracing decadence. It was a picture so vivid and irresistible that Xie Qingxuan cherished it deeply.
To the golden retriever, these were private treasures, unshared with the audience who could only see the polished performances on stage. These subtle moments, cultivated over time, were for her alone.
Unbeknownst to Chu Yuanqing, she had become an enigma in her partner’s mind. She moved gracefully through the steps, linking each motion seamlessly. Though the choreography still brought her a sense of shame at times, she reassured herself that it was proof of retaining her masculine self-respect.
Each night before bed, Chu Yuanqing replayed the day’s actions in her mind, using this reasoning to find peace and fall asleep.
Xie Qingxuan leaned against the dance studio wall, wiping sweat with a towel. The sunlight highlighted her slender frame, her long legs encased in yoga pants, and her graceful waistline perfectly proportioned.
Chu Yuanqing glanced away politely. After all, the golden retriever’s unguarded demeanor often provided moments of passive intimacy.
Instead of dwelling on such thoughts, Chu Yuanqing turned to her music notes, strengthening her memory before beginning vocal training. Time flew as they immersed themselves in practice.
That night, Xie Qingxuan awoke from a restless sleep. Her mind was filled with thoughts of Chu Yuanqing—her laugh, her expressions, her presence. These fragments, like snowflakes, fell into place, forming an incomplete puzzle in her subconscious.
Though Xie Qingxuan had perfected the use of personality puzzles as tools to replicate emotions, Chu Yuanqing defied this logic. She remained a living, breathing enigma—ever-changing, impossible to fully capture.
“Could it be… that I see Little Qing as my muse?” Xie Qingxuan mused to herself, the thought both thrilling and perplexing.
Unable to sleep, she picked up a pillow and climbed into Chu Yuanqing’s bed. “Little Qing, I want to sleep with you,” she said, her tone serious.
Chu Yuanqing, startled,
refused. “No, I’m used to
sleeping alone.”
Xie Qingxuan, undeterred,
explained, “I need to get to
know you better, to be closer
to you. It will help us perform
better on stage.”
Though taken aback, Chu
Yuanqing detected sincerity in
her words. Reluctantly, she
relented, drawing an invisible
line on the bed. “You can only
sleep here for ten minutes.
Don’t cross this line.”
Xie Qingxuan obediently lay on
her side, savoring the warmth
and proximity of the person
beside her. The soft sound of
snowflakes seemed to fill the
room as she drifted into
peaceful slumber.
The next morning, Chu
Yuanqing awoke to find Xie
Qingxuan sleeping soundly
beside her. The sight of her
platinum blonde hair spread
across the pillow evoked a
sense of nostalgia, softening
her expression.
Though initially hesitant, she
thought, Perhaps sharing a
bed isn’t so bad after all.
Meanwhile, in another room,
Liang Xiaoxiao awoke from a
nightmare. She stumbled to
the bathroom, her reflection
pale and haunted. Though she
had survived the second
Nightmare Corridor, the
experience had left her
teetering on the brink of
collapse.
“It’s not over yet,” she
murmured, determination
burning in her eyes. She
ignored her teammates’
concerns and headed straight
to the Heart Flow training
ground.
As time passed, the highly
anticipated moment finally
arrived—the showdown
between the two Double A
teams.
The live broadcast of Dazzling
Stage resumed, the stakes
higher than ever.
