Chapter 121: Blood Reversal

“Ha!”

Kuang San burst into a loud, mocking laugh, his eyes gleaming with disdain and contempt. "So, the Young Master of the Qin Clan is nothing but an arrogant fool!"

He lowered his gaze, a flicker of disappointment crossing his expression. In his eyes, she paled in comparison to Ming He, the sword cultivator who stood drenched in blood, her long sword in hand. He saw no point in wasting further words.

Only half an hour remained.

Kuang San’s eyes turned icy as he clenched his fist, delivering a punch with the same motion, yet this time, the force behind it was several times greater than the one he had unleashed on Ming He.

The gap between the Realm of the Pseudo-King and the Realm of the Pseudo-Emperor was as vast as the heavens and earth—utterly incomparable.

Even someone as exceptional as Qin Chu Yi would find it impossible to withstand such a blow.

Kuang San was utterly convinced that his lethal strike would end the lives of both opponents.

But the human race had always defied logic.

At least, that was true for Ming He, and it was equally true for Qin Chu Yi.

His blood-stained fist surged forward, carrying the overwhelming force of the heavens, shaking the air with a mournful howl.

Withered leaves were swept into the air by the violent wind, only to shatter into fragments upon falling, scattering into the mud and painting the ground with desolation.

This was the killing punch of a pseudo-emperor-level cultivator, a signature technique of the Tian Yan Tribe.

Kuang San’s status among the alien races was undoubtedly high.

As Qin Chu Yi faced the ferocious blood-red fist, her mind briefly lingered on this fact. She stood her ground, her gaze as cold and detached as Ming He’s, devoid of sorrow or joy, yet with a subtle ripple of turbulence beneath the surface.

That ripple was murderous intent—the Young Master’s resolve to slaughter the alien race, the fury at the desecration of Tianwu City’s dignity, and the pride that had been trampled upon.

The Chi Li sword let out a resonant hum as it finally found its place in Qin Chu Yi’s hand, its blade glowing with a mix of joy and impatience.

With a faint smirk, Qin Chu Yi swung her sword, its light blazing like the moon in the ninth heaven—cold, distant, yet imbued with a quiet compassion.

The sword tip rose to meet the moonlight’s brilliance, connecting with the heavens and earth beneath the ancient residence’s azure seal. It clashed with Kuang San’s blood-red fist, unleashing a deafening roar that shook the very air.

A crack snaked across the blue barrier.

Ming He leaned against the wooden stake, her eyes fixed unwaveringly on Qin Chu Yi. Despite the strain on her eyes from the surging spiritual energy, she refused to look away, her heart a tempest of anxiety and hope.

Her bloodshot peach blossom eyes remained wide open as she watched Qin Chu Yi’s sword pierce through Kuang San’s thunderous punch. The sword tip trembled, scattering blood in its wake, before cleaving through Kuang San’s left shoulder, shattering his shoulder blade and drenching the narrow space in fresh blood.

It was the same wound Ming He had suffered, down to the exact location.

Was Qin Chu Yi avenging her?

Ming He watched, her breath catching, her heart momentarily easing. Her dark eyes shimmered with emotion.

At the seventh level of the Heaven Origin realm, the sword had shattered the pseudo-emperor!

To Ming He, her Senior Sister was the brightest star in the vast expanse of the World of Martial Arts.

Her Senior Sister, whose elegance surpassed the heavens, could never be outmatched by Kuang San.

“Thud!”

Kuang San was sent flying by the overwhelming sword energy, his body crashing into the jagged black stone behind him. Blood and flesh mingled, his face smeared with grime as blood trickled from the corner of his mouth. Though the aura of the pseudo-emperor still clung to him, it was no longer as impenetrable as before.

With her sword, Qin Chu Yi had proven that the genius of the human race could not only fight above their level but could soar far beyond it.

Just as Ming He, at the pinnacle of the Wind Master realm, faced the Realm of the Pseudo-King, so did Qin Chu Yi, at the seventh level of the Heaven Origin realm, confront the Realm of the Pseudo-Emperor.

The Chi Li sword soared through the air, its blade aimed directly at Kuang San’s neck, poised to end his life.

Blood splattered instantly; she was as good as her word.

"The Tian Yan Tribe is truly invincible!" Kuang San’s eyes narrowed as he gazed at the white long sword descending upon him. A flicker of madness shone in his eyes as he somehow found the strength to grasp the sword tip, allowing it to pierce his palm while he held on fiercely.

"I thought the deputy leader was overly cautious; it turns out he understands you best," Kuang San murmured, rising unsteadily into the air. Though he stumbled, he managed to steady himself, refusing to fall. "Very well, I will wager the blood of the alien race against the human race."

At this point, retreat was no longer an option.

Either Ming He and Qin Chu Yi would perish, or the alien race would suffer a devastating blow.

But he could not defy the deputy leader’s command.

Kuang San let out a roar, his toes pressing against the ground as he leapt onto the roof of the ancient residence. The aura of the pseudo-emperor realm surged once more, only to plummet to its lowest point just as it neared the imperial realm, thus neutralizing the annihilating force of the absolute formation.

His aura continued to decline.

From the pseudo-emperor realm to the pseudo-king realm, then to the peak of the Heaven Origin realm he once possessed.

Wind Master realm.

Dust Dispersal stage.

The aura kept falling to the Qi Refinement stage; he had become something less than human.

No, that was not enough to be called human.

He was an alien, and aliens were born with the Spirit Guiding stage of cultivation.

Without cultivation, Kuang San had strayed from the very essence of his kind’s survival.

Qin Chu Yi frowned, puzzled by his actions, yet instinctively sensing that the day would not end peacefully.

But no matter what, she had to protect Ming He.

If all else failed…

She glanced back at Ming He, a faint smile playing on her lips, her resolve firm. This dispelled her last traces of unease, and she no longer paid heed to Kuang San’s alarming transformation. Her right hand trembled as she summoned the Chi Li sword, which had been floating in mid-air, back to her grasp.

The sword tip gleamed coldly, still dripping with blood.

It was Kuang San’s blood.

Qin Chu Yi gripped the sword hilt, and in the next moment, she moved with the grace of a startled swan. With all her strength, her right hand’s knuckles turned white as she unleashed the sword, swift as lightning, its sound sharp and resonant like autumn winds sweeping through fallen leaves. She cut through the shattered leaves, aiming for the wound where Kuang San had been pierced by Ming He’s Blue Sea Sword.

This strike was enough to sever any chance of survival for Kuang San.

As long as it did not miss.

"Humph! Overestimating yourself," Kuang San sneered, a glint of amusement in his eyes. The truth was, he now had no cultivation and was no longer in his alien form.

The vitality of the Tian Yan Tribe had already been severed by the swords of Ming He and Qin Chu Yi.

He should have been dead by now.

Yet he still stood here because he represented the Alien Race Hunting Hall.

As long as the alien race existed, he would endure.

Even if only for a quarter of an hour.

But in this fleeting moment, he was invincible.

Having resorted to the deputy leader’s ultimate technique, he was no longer content with merely killing Ming He and Qin Chu Yi.

He aimed to annihilate an entire city!

With this thought, Kuang San slowly raised his deformed right hand and casually pointed into the air. A single gesture, and all existence was obliterated.

Qin Chu Yi coughed up blood, her body hurled backward. She landed on her knees as Ming He gasped in shock. Her aura was chaotic, her spiritual energy in turmoil, her foundation shattered.

Kuang San gripped the Chi Li sword, his gaze icy. Moments ago, this very sword had nearly severed his last thread of life.

He cast a cold glance at Qin Chu Yi, raised his hand once

This was during the journey to obtain the Star Lock in the ancient cave dwelling when the Star Lock was snatched away by a mysterious black cat. Qin Chu Yi became furious and had once unleashed a blood-red palm print in an attempt to reclaim the Star Lock.

However, she was stopped by a woman dressed in red attire with white hair. The blood reversal also stagnated within her body, rendering her unable to move. Though she didn’t reclaim the Star Lock, her process of using the secret technique was interrupted, so her vitality did not diminish.

That woman was Mu Xuan Ye, Left Envoy of the demon race; in a certain sense, she had also saved Qin Chu Yi’s life.

But now Mu Xuan Ye was not here; without her means, Qin Chu Yi’s blood reversal could not be halted.

She was powerless, unable to do anything.

Ming He’s eyes burned with anger. The backlash from the Blizzard Pill surged through her veins at this moment, and she didn’t even have the strength to move her body.

But Qin Chu Yi was about to fall.

Blood reversal had taken effect, and the blood-red palm print was unleashed. Qin Chu Yi’s vitality had transformed into an invincible form; now, as her life force waned, she was stripped of the ability to even hover in the air.

Red and blood mixed together, the hem of her robe drooped down first. Qin Chu Yi relaxed the clenched fist, weakly descending from the sky like a blood-colored butterfly, walking the path of withering life, bright after splendor but dimming at the curtain call.

The blue seal shattered, and the aura here surged forth. Powerful auras from inside and outside Tianwu City rushed towards this direction, but they were too late to catch Qin Chu Yi.

At the same time, across the blood-red plains, lofty mountains, forests, and rivers of the Tianwu Continent, including the battlefield of the heavens, wherever there were alien beings, blood spread out in the air, blooming into a blood-colored flower.

The human race cultivators battling the alien beings stared at that blood-colored flower for a moment, feeling that the alien beings in front of them seemed to pause for an instant. Although it was fleeting, their strength upon regaining composure was not as formidable as before.

They did not understand its meaning but knew that an instant on the battlefield could be eternal. Therefore, they seized that moment and drove their blades into the alien beings’ chests.

In that instant, the human race could eliminate hundreds of thousands of aliens, and it was enough to save the lives of tens of thousands of their own.

Those who knew the reason for this change had their expressions change dramatically. They understood what the human race had gained in this moment and also what they had lost.

On the eastern plains of the battlefield of the heavens, a Young Man in armor felt his pupils constrict sharply. His mind trembled in recognition of the alien beings before him. This moment was a binding of the alien limbs and it also shattered his spirit with pain.

“Blood Condensation Technique, blood reversal.” The Young Man’s bright eyes became moist, his gaze filled with blood, and he thrust his sword through the chest of the alien who had snapped back to awareness. “Little Yi!”

He waved the long sword casually, shedding the heavy armor, and turned to run toward the western side of the battlefield; that was the road leading to the Tianwu Continent.

“Senior Sister!”

Ming He whispered sharply, biting her lip until blood flowed freely. She leveraged the pain to shake off the backlash from the Blizzard Pill, recklessly leaping upward, embracing Qin Chu Yi in her arms, the impact causing such pain in her chest that she almost fainted.

But she dared not faint.

Ming He drew the Moon Crescent Dagger and cut her right arm, clenching her fists while channeling Star Lock, laboriously infusing Star Power into Qin Chu Yi’s body.

As her consciousness grew dim, she held only one thought in her mind.

Senior Sister must not be in danger!

Even if she were to die, Senior Sister cannot die.
