Recruitment of Editors
Hello, readers! We are excited to announce that our chapter edition feature is now live!
As our community grows and more translators join us, we’ve received feedback from some readers regarding the quality of certain translations. While I understand that some translators may be less experienced and their work may need improvement, I believe it’s important to approach this constructively. Simply telling someone their translation is subpar can be discouraging and may lead them to stop translating altogether. Many of you have likely encountered similar situations on various translation sites.
In the past, we’ve tried working with some editors, but the results were not as effective as we had hoped. Many editors joined with enthusiasm but left once that enthusiasm waned. To address this, I’ve decided to implement a new feature that allows everyone to participate. If you notice a chapter that could be improved while reading, you can edit it and earn rewards, helping to maintain motivation and engagement.
Currently, our translators earn $0.50 for every 1,000 clicks. We offer three payment options for editors for the chapters they help edit: 1) 15% of the novel’s click earnings for one year; 2) 30% of the novel’s click earnings for one year; and 3) $1 per chapter.
Translators who are confident in their work can opt for the 15% option, while those seeking more support may choose the 30% option. If a translator prefers a straightforward payment, they can select the $1 per chapter option.
For now, this feature is available for a select few novels. Once we confirm its effectiveness, we will expand it to all novels.
Here are the details of this function:
- At the end of each chapter, just above the Comments section, you will find a red button labeled “Chapter Correction (Paid).” Click this button to access the chapter editing page.
- On the chapter editing page, you will see the chapter available for editing. Scroll down to the bottom and click the “Lock” button. This will allow you exclusive editing access for three hours. If you do not submit your edits within that time frame, the chapter will be unlocked, and others will have the opportunity to lock and edit it.
- Once you submit your edits, the corresponding translator will receive an email notification. The translator has the option to accept or reject your changes. If they choose to reject your edits, they must provide a valid explanation. If you believe your edits were unjustly denied, feel free to raise your concerns in our Discord group, and I, as the site admin, will make a final decision. If the translator does not review your edits within 48 hours, the system will automatically approve your submission.
