    Chapter 572: Ahead of Schedule

The spatial laws within the Minor Cosmic Light Array had been completely absorbed, but Ye Yun lacked the time to fully refine them. Though his grasp of spatial laws meant refinement wouldn’t take long, it still couldn’t be done all at once.

Ye Yun sat cross-legged, methodically refining each law. As time passed, most laws from the array were absorbed into his cultivation.

    Three days flashed by.

When only two incomprehensible laws remained, a voice echoed as if from distant horizons yet right beside his ear:

“Ye Yun, come to the Misty Hall at once.”

It was Tian Yunzi’s voice, piercing through space itself—a display of Nascent Soul stage mastery.

Ye Yun opened his eyes slowly, a sharp glint flashing like solidified light.

The Ancestor of the Sword Path spoke abruptly: “Something’s amiss with the Misty Sect. Your arrival here was too smooth.”

Ye Yun furrowed his brows. “True. When we first came, our elder brother was supposed to follow as backup. Yet once here, Tian Yunzi and Sect Leader Hua Changchun acted like old friends. No tension at all—strange.”

The Ancestor’s voice deepened. “Divine Grace Palace and Misty Sect are the Great Qin Empire’s top two sects. Outwardly peaceful, but their rivalry runs deep. Tian Yunzi leads Absolute Heart Peak; Hua Changchun commands the Misty Sect. Even if they shared past camaraderie, their meeting now should’ve been frosty.”

Ye Yun shrugged. “Whatever schemes they brew, we’ll handle them as they come.”

Rising, he stepped outside, gaze piercing through space toward the floating Misty Hall. He dissolved his restrictions and soared toward it.

He’d barely flown ten miles when a streak of light landed beside him.

“We’ll go together,” said Murong Wuqing, joining his flight.

Ye Yun smiled. “Elder Brother Wuqing, why summon us?”

Murong Wuqing’s face tightened. “Guests like you get personal summons. We elites received divine missives. The Saint’s Secret Vault opens early.”

    “Early?!” Ye Yun’s eyes widened.

Murong Wuqing nodded. “The Misty Sect’s divine messages never err. It was due in a month. Reasons unknown.”

Ye Yun inhaled sharply—this suited him. Less time with Tian Yunzi meant quicker entry to seek soul-restoring herbs.

Their conversation continued as they sped onward. Soon, the majestic floating Misty Hall loomed ahead.

Below it, three hundred cultivators stood in the square—every one at least Fifth Level Golden Core stage. Ye Yun marveled. In the Jin Kingdom, he’d imagined Great Qin’s might, but this…

At Divine Grace Palace, he’d seen dozens of Golden Core disciples, mostly below Fifth Level. Even Absolute Heart Peak—the palace’s strongest—had barely a dozen above Fifth Level. Yet here stood three hundred, thirty-forty having survived Golden Core tribulations.

“The Misty Sect’s millennia of accumulated resources,” Murong Wuqing murmured.

Ye Yun nodded grimly. Such force dwarfed all except the imperial family’s armies.

“All these Golden Cores enter the vault?” Ye Yun asked.

Murong Wuqing scoffed. “The royal family’s ‘share agreement’ is meaningless. The Misty Sect will take what they want. You think they’ll settle for twenty percent?”

Unlike Ye Yun’s calculating mind, Murong Wuqing cared little for sect politics—his ambitions reached beyond Great Qin to the Jiaoyue Dynasty and Moon Goddess Palace.

For Ye Yun, early access meant advantage. With the Ancestor’s knowledge, they’d plumb the vault’s depths first.

“Ye Yun, Murong Wuqing. Approach.” Tian Yunzi’s gentle command carried across the square.

Looking up, they saw Tian Yunzi and Hua Changchun emerge side by side from the Misty Hall.
