Chapter 518: Tian Puppet Artifact Master

At the landing spot of the Star Ship, Xu Fan waved goodbye to the already departed Serpent Spirit Ship.

“Take care, brother~” Xu Fan never expected that his joy technique would send his good brother off.

Two railguns, ten Demon Suppressing Stars, one thousand Precious Artifact Satellites, ten thousand Transformation Stage puppets, and twenty Core Formation Stage Puppets.

These were the items Xu Fan gave his good brother to take along.

“With these, you probably won’t need to fear any ordinary Great Ascension Master,” Xu Fan murmured as he looked at the sky.

In his eyes, the safety of his good brother was more important than anything else; he could face danger, but his brother could not.

“Master, why does it feel like my dad has been acting strange lately?” Wang Xiangchi said beside Xu Fan.

“There’s nothing strange; your dad has merely grasped the truth of life and is searching for his own happiness,” Xu Fan replied while patting Wang Xiangchi’s shoulder.

At that moment, Xu Fan heard Wang Xiangchi let out a deep sigh.

“My dad has left; I can finally relax for a while,” Wang Xiangchi said.

“Are you talking about cultivation matters?” Xu Fan asked curiously.

Wang Xiangchi nodded and replied, “I thought my dad would understand and teach me well.”

“But now all he wants to do is spar with me, wanting to discuss some techniques.”

    Wang Xiangchi paused here.

“My dad just uses that technique to deal with me, saying that watching too much and experiencing losses will lead to natural understanding.”

“My dad’s teaching method is completely opposite to Master’s,” Wang Xiangchi said helplessly.

“Your dad just adopted the simplest and most effective method,” Xu Fan laughed.

“Master, I want to train outside the range of Lin Sen Fairy City for a while,” Wang Xiangchi said.

“What’s gotten into you again? Haven’t you caused enough trouble within Lin Sen Fairy City?” Xu Fan asked, frowning.

“Disciple feels his cultivation and fighting strength are nearing a bottleneck; under the sect’s protection, there will certainly be no breakthroughs. Please grant me this, Master,” Wang Xiangchi said as he bowed.

“Regarding your current bottleneck, I don’t have any good solutions either; perhaps going out to experience the world will help.”

Xu Fan initially intended to refuse but then realized that these disciples, under his comprehensive protection, might truly not be able to realize their potential.

Xu Fan gently extended his hand, and countless scriptures manifested in his grasp.

He transformed them into a finger, gathering the scriptures within Xu Fan’s finger, shaping the universe.

“You can go, but Master must provide you with some protective means,” Xu Fan said, tapping Wang Xiangchi’s forehead with his finger.

“When this scripture lights up at your forehead, promise Master you won’t push yourself too hard; otherwise, it will be a matter of life and death,” Xu Fan said gently.

    “Understood, Master.”

After Wang Xiangchi left, Xu Fan focused on crafting railguns.

This time, Xu Fan was generous and brought out all the celestial tool-level spirit ore that could be used in protection.

According to his plan, he would first craft five air defense railguns, then enhance the mobility and spatial transfer capability of the Hidden Spirit Island’s base Formation.

Xu Fan estimated that to move Hidden Spirit Island without using node artifacts and while minimizing damage, at least 108 node artifacts needed to be embedded in the base of the Hidden Spirit Island Formation.

Xu Fan, along with two beast clan master craftsmen from his side, started to focus on crafting railguns.

“Luckily, over the years, my second clone has earned a decent amount of spirit ore; otherwise, I wouldn’t have been able to handle the consumption,” Xu Fan said, feeling relieved.

“Maybe I should send Second Clone out again,” Xu Fan mused as he worked.

During Xu Fan’s sixty years of seclusion, the second clone worked outside for forty years, but after that, the Serpent Spirit Ship couldn’t find any new ancient stars inhabited by the human race.

So, the second clone stayed on Hidden Spirit Island to assist the first.

According to Spirit Cut, deeper within the Extreme Void Domain lies a sea of disasters; even the Serpent Spirit Ship would struggle to navigate there.

“We’ll discuss it after we finish crafting the new Star Ship,” Xu Fan said.

Just then, a streak of light flashed in the distance.

Qiu Ziyuan appeared nearby, his face brimming with excitement.

“Your expression tells me it’s good news. Go ahead, tell me,” Xu Fan said, adjusting the temperature of the spirit fire in his hands.

Qiu Ziyuan handed over a magical spirit sword for Xu Fan to inspect.

“Is this crafted by a puppet controlled by mortals in the game?” Xu Fan asked, surprised, as he finished a component.

“The Grand Elder is as insightful as ever,” Qiu Ziyuan said with a smile.

“Insightful? If an average Qi Refinement beginner made this, they’d be out of a job,” Xu Fan remarked, taking the spirit sword.

“For a mortal to control a puppet and craft such a spirit sword is impressive; it’s the first step on a long journey,” Xu Fan praised, examining the sword.

“Start searching the game thoroughly for people who can control puppets to refine elixirs and craft artifacts, and help them transform into spirit root bodies,” Xu Fan ordered.

With a larger base, finding geniuses becomes easier.

Currently, within the Hidden Spirit Sect, no disciple in refining elixirs or crafting artifacts has stood out to him, and he hopes to find a few Tian Puppet Masters from the game.

“Understood, Grand Elder,” Qiu Ziyuan said, bowing slightly before preparing to leave and handle the tasks Xu Fan assigned.

“Don’t rush off. You’re only in the mid-stage of Golden Core, and your cultivation has fallen behind the first generation of disciples.

“Sometimes, cultivation is more important; you can delegate sect affairs to others for now.”

As Xu Fan spoke, he flicked his hand, sending a scripture of the word ‘enlightenment’ into Qiu Ziyuan’s mind.

“Balancing work and rest is key,” Xu Fan said with a smile.

“Thank you for the reminder, Grand Elder,” Qiu Ziyuan replied, visibly moved.

“You’ve helped Grape with many tasks over the years, and your abilities have earned Grape’s recognition. From today, your sect authority will be raised by one level,” Xu Fan said after a moment’s thought.

“Thank you, Grand Elder, though I feel my current authority is already sufficient,” Qiu Ziyuan said, scratching his head sheepishly.

Sect authority not only increases one’s ability to mobilize resources but also grants access to more resources each month.

“Go back and do what you need to do. Don’t hesitate to take more benefits; there’s no need to be shy,” Xu Fan said, waving him off with a smile.

“Grand Elder, I’ll take my leave,” Qiu Ziyuan said.

In the virtual game world, two new professions emerged: Tian Kui Artifact Master and Tian Puppet Alchemist.

At the Tian Kui Artifact Master headquarters, a young boy clumsily manipulated a puppet to control spirit fire, attempting to craft basic magical tools.

“This clumsy performance! If it weren’t a puppet doing this, I’d seriously consider kicking him out of the artifact master ranks,” Xu Fan said, exasperated.

Though this Tian Puppet Master appeared to be practicing in the game, it was actually a reflection of his real-world attempts at artifact crafting.
