Chapter 175: Submission
by karlmaksSu Li activated “Spider Walk” and “Demon Muscles” almost simultaneously.
He hadn’t been using “Demon Muscles” when he was fighting Wu Feng with the dual swords, but now, with empty hands, he fully entered the “Demon Muscles” state.
The Second Form of “Demon Muscles” relied on burning stamina, continuously boosting his strength, speed, and reaction time exponentially. Su Li’s entire musculature seemed to come alive. He stomped his foot, and with a “snap,” only an afterimage remained where he stood.
Wu Feng’s heart instantly tightened. Two colossal fireballs missed, exploding on the roof and sending sparks everywhere. Su Li had vanished. He was charging Wu Feng at full speed, creating a rush of wind.
“How is he so fast?” Wu Feng was shocked. He roared, desperately throwing the seven or eight fireballs he had just created at Su Li. He simultaneously stomped heavily on the raft beneath him.
The burning raft was shattered by his kick, sending planks consumed by flames flying everywhere.
Wu Feng rapidly retreated, creating distance while controlling the scattered flames to form more fireballs.
Su Li’s chest and back muscles swelled, revealing the terrifying demonic face. The exponentially boosted “Demon Muscles” combined with “Spider Walk” pushed his speed to a dizzying level. Wu Feng, strong as he was, could barely track him. He only saw a blur before his chest was struck.
With a muffled groan, Wu Feng was sent flying backward by an irresistible force. He tumbled, crashing heavily onto the ground, and blood sprayed from his mouth.
With just one strike, Wu Feng was severely wounded. The men from the Golden Eagle Alliance who had come to watch were stunned. The men from the Shimao Center were utterly confused, their faces etched with disbelief.
This Su Li put away his dual swords, but why is he even more powerful now?
Wu Feng was killed in that single exchange. His head rang loudly. He felt a hand clamp onto his neck, lifting him off the ground.
Su Li gripped his neck, hoisting Wu Feng up. He looked at him, shaking his head. “With this level of strength, you’re not even as good as a woman.”
As he spoke, he violently threw Wu Feng toward Gong Xiao.
Wu Feng, completely helpless, crashed heavily in front of Gong Xiao.
“She’s Gong Xiao. Though she is a woman, she is stronger than you. You are no match for her.”
Hearing Su Li’s words, Wu Feng slowly looked up at Gong Xiao. Although he was still skeptical, he couldn’t refute it. Su Li’s power had utterly destroyed his arrogance and confidence.
Gong Xiao, hearing this, looked displeased. “Su Li, you’re being chauvinistic again. Why must a woman be inferior to a man?”
She knew Su Li wasn’t trying to undermine Wu Feng’s confidence. The truth was Wu Feng truly was no match for her, as her “Storm Shield” perfectly countered his abilities.
“If you don’t believe me, you can capture a few more Spiritual Source Beasts, recover your injuries, and fight Gong Xiao again.” Su Li slowly deactivated “Demon Muscles,” looking at the fallen Wu Feng with a half-smile.
Wu Feng continuously shook his head. Su Li’s punch had shattered his confidence. If he lost to Gong Xiao, he might truly kill himself out of shame. He no longer had the courage to fight Gong Xiao.
“I don’t understand… You clearly aren’t using a weapon, so why are you even stronger than before?” Wu Feng was truly perplexed.
Su Li smiled. “I wasn’t using my Spiritual Source Technique just now, even though I had my weapons. I was only in a normal state. Is that so hard to understand?”
Hearing Su Li’s explanation, Wu Feng froze. He looked utterly defeated. He inhaled sharply, enduring the pain of his broken ribs. He wiped the blood from his mouth and said, “I, Wu Feng, accept my defeat. From now on, Su Li is my boss. He is the leader of this Golden Eagle Alliance. If anyone refuses to obey him, I, Wu Feng, will be the first to object.”
“Did you all hear that?” Wu Feng suddenly roared, looking at the men who had followed him from the Shimao Center.
“Understood!” The men shouted in unison.
They had witnessed the scene firsthand. They were completely convinced of Su Li’s strength. They knew Wu Feng was only slightly weaker than Ding Shijie with the Ice Python Sword. Now, Su Li had shown them what true power was, defeating Wu Feng with his bare hands. They finally believed Ding Shijie had truly been slain by Su Li.
Ding Longyun laughed heartily, happier than if he had won himself. He looked at the men from Gold Eagle One A-Building and B-Building and shouted, “And you all! Do you submit?”
The men all nodded, expressing their willingness to surrender and submit.
The strongest among them, Wu Feng, the leader of the Shimao Center Building, had been knocked down and had conceded defeat. Even the dullest person knew what to do. No one expressed a desire to leave.
Su Li smiled faintly. He addressed the crowd. “I repeat: I welcome those who wish to stay. You will all be my brothers and sisters. If anyone chooses to leave, I will not stop them.”
Whether their submission was genuine or not, it didn’t matter. As long as Su Li was in power, they wouldn’t dare cause trouble. If someone stronger replaced him, they would simply switch allegiance.
“Brother Su, the Shimao Center Building is still under your leadership. Everything remains the same,” Su Li instructed Wu Feng.
Wu Feng nodded. “Thank you for your trust, Boss. I will manage the Shimao Center and its people, and I promise not to cause any trouble.”
Su Li knew Wu Feng was capable. The loyalty of his men to him was evident. The Shimao Center was essentially Wu Feng’s private faction. Moving his men now would cause conflict. Although Su Li could use force, he preferred to avoid it for now.
“Shui Jue, the Gold Eagle One A-Building is yours to manage.” Su Li then looked at Jiang Shuijue. She already had her own group of people who had moved from the Golden Convergence Center to the Purple Wind Building. Su Li decided to take over the B-Building himself and entrust the A-Building to Jiang Shuijue.
“Understood. I will follow your arrangements.” Jiang Shuijue agreed without hesitation.
“Good. I will take over the B-Building myself. That settles it for now. Let’s return to the Purple Wind Building and move everyone and all the supplies over.”
It was a very busy day. The entire population of the Purple Wind Building moved. Under Su Li’s arrangement, the 18 people from the Golden Convergence Center, including Jiang Shuijue, Gu Mingfeng, and Ling Yi, moved into Gold Eagle One A-Building.
Gold Eagle One A-Building had 21 people remaining. With Jiang Shuijue’s group, the population reached 39 people, under Jiang Shuijue’s command.
The Shimao Center Building remained under Wu Feng’s leadership, with 42 people.
Su Li personally took charge of Gold Eagle One B-Building, although he delegated most of the day-to-day management to Xu Haishui.
Gold Eagle One B-Building had 34 original residents. With the 31 people from the Purple Wind Building, the population reached 65 people, the largest among the three towers. The B-Building was the tallest, with 44 floors. With only 14 floors remaining above water and one partially submerged, it still had thirteen habitable floors. Even housing over a hundred people would not be crowded, let alone 65.
The three towers combined formed the “Golden Eagle Alliance,” with a total strength of 146 people.
Su Li instructed Xu Haishui to compile a list of all personnel and their current levels. Su Li needed this information to understand the total strength of the alliance.
Jiang Shuijue’s task was to inventory all the supplies. He needed to know the total resources of the entire Golden Eagle Alliance and how long they could sustain 146 people.
Since the population had surged to 146, and the supply situation was uncertain, a detailed inventory was needed.
Su Li, meanwhile, led a large group to the Purple Wind Building. He wanted to figure out how to move the floating island.
The floating island was a valuable hunting ground. Furthermore, he had a bigger plan: to use the island to connect the three skyscrapers.
The current population of 146 was only temporary. He believed there were more survivors in the city, and the population would likely grow. He wanted to fortify the external environment and eventually connect the three towers.
This required sufficient manpower.
Su Li mobilized almost everyone, except those needed for inventory and essential defense. Over a hundred people, riding over a dozen rafts, set off in a massive convoy. The sight was astonishing.
