Chapter 136: Rare Blood Crystal

The Corpse Beast, enveloped in flames, was pierced through. Xu Haishui delivered a kick, sending the monster tumbling backward into two other Corpse Beasts. All three monsters fell into the water.

Su Li moved the fastest. The Dragon Rhino Sword flashed repeatedly. Head after head of the approaching Corpse Beasts and Sea Spiders were severed. He was the first to leap onto one of the rafts.

Gong Xiao followed immediately. She clapped her hands together, and a volley of sharp spikes shot out.

These spikes were coated with Venom Fire. They struck several Corpse Beasts attempting to climb onto the raft. The Corpse Beasts were pierced, and the fierce burning of the Venom Fire instantly burned large holes into their bodies.

Xu Xuehui, Luo Jun, and Xu Haishui also quickly boarded the raft.

Ding Longyun severed the raft’s mooring rope, then continuously opened his mouth and spat out “Air Missiles.” Explosions sounded one after another on the water around the raft, splashing water everywhere. He then jumped into the water, pushing the raft from behind. With a strange cry, he pushed off the building wall with his feet, propelling the raft forward into the water.

Xu Haishui picked up the paddle and quickly began to row at the front. Ding Longyun pushed the raft from behind, sending it speeding toward the distant floating island. The others struck out at the monsters attempting to approach the raft.

Although a large number of monsters had gathered in the surrounding water, their primary destination was the floating island. They were a dense black mass approaching the island, and more and more were climbing onto it.

Its only action might be to float on the water, ram and eat buildings, and grow larger.”

The rain continued to fall heavily. The pouring rain was relentless. While observing the distant island, the group constantly wiped the rainwater from their faces. Fortunately, after the raft traveled about 20 or 30 meters into the water, the surrounding monsters seemed to slowly lose interest in them, no longer actively attacking. Xu Haishui grew more nervous. He acknowledged the order and gripped the paddle, controlling the raft to change direction.

Ding Longyun swam behind the raft, occasionally pushing it. He suddenly asked, “What do you think would happen if I launched an ‘Air Missile’ at this floating island?”

Gong Xiao said, “At best, it would only kill a few of the monsters on the surface. But the island is made of rock. The explosive power of your ‘Air Missile’ isn’t strong enough to shatter the rock completely.”

Xu Haishui controlled the raft, circling the oncoming island to the right. The distance between them shrank to less than 20 meters.

Large numbers of various monsters floated on the water around the island, and even more were gathered on its surface.
