Chapter 104: Crocolizard

The monster appeared suddenly, and its low roar immediately attracted the attention of all five people.

“Name: Crocolizard. Level: 4 Elite Beast. Its mouth contains various bacteria and viruses. A bite can easily cause bacterial/viral infection, leading to unstoppable bleeding and eventual death. “Careful! This thing has venom in its mouth. Don’t let it bite you!” Su Li shouted, gripping his machete and moving to confront the Crocolizard.

Seeing such a massive monster, Ding Longyun and Gong Xiao were excited rather than fearful.

The newcomer was a muscular, humanoid monster over two meters tall. It had no skin; its entire body was bulging, blood-red, and brutal-looking muscle tissue. After landing, it strode forward, marching toward the group.

It wasn’t fast, but with every step, the roof shook violently, and cracks appeared in the ground. Its presence was extremely intimidating.

“Another one?” Ding Longyun was shocked. A monster with such an intimidating aura was certainly not a Common Spiritual Source Beast.

Su Li had just severed the Crocolizard’s tail and quickly retreated, creating distance between them. He turned and peered into the newly arrived humanoid muscle monster.

“Name: Brute Force Beast. Level: 4 Elite Beast. A powerful Spiritual Source Beast specializing in strength. Fast in a straight-line charge, but clumsy when trying to turn or maneuver. “Alright!” Ding Longyun responded and immediately charged toward the Brute Force Beast. They were not fools; they could see the monster’s immense power and knew they couldn’t afford to fight it head-on.

Gong Xiao and Xu Haishui also followed, moving toward the Brute Force Beast. The monster, which had been walking upright, suddenly crouched slightly and launched a straight-line charge.

The straight-line charge was its only fast attack. It was like a tank rolling forward, possessing infinite force. Anyone who failed to dodge and was struck by it would be instantly crushed or turned into a bloody pulp.

The Brute Force Beast charged. Ding Longyun and the other two scattered, dodging its path.

On the other side, Su Li let out a roar and lunged at the Crocolizard. Although Ding Longyun and the others should be able to handle one Brute Force Beast, he feared that even more terrifying monsters might appear. He had to end this quickly and kill the Crocolizard first.

“Spider Walk” activated. Su Li’s figure swayed like a shadow. The bipedal Crocolizard swung its two massive claws, but they missed entirely. Its massive, bloody mouth drooled a foul-smelling saliva. Although filled with bacteria and viruses, it couldn’t bite Su Li. It couldn’t even track where Su Li was.

Su Li moved like lightning, circling to the monster’s flank. He leaped up, holding the machete with both hands, and brought it down with all his might toward the Crocolizard’s lizard head.

Blood erupted from the neck. Su Li had beheaded the Level 4 Elite Crocolizard. Its large, bloody lizard head fell onto the ground and rolled away.

A Spiritual Source appeared and merged into Su Li’s forehead. A message informed him that killing an Elite monster of the same level granted him two Spiritual Sources at once. He now needed only 13 Spiritual Sources to advance again.

He successfully killed the Crocolizard. On the other side, the three were closing in on the Brute Force Beast.

The Brute Force Beast’s straight-line charge had missed, and it was clumsy while turning. Xu Haishui seized the opportunity, gripping his short spear and thrusting with all his might.

The Brute Force Beast blocked the thrust with its arm. Xu Haishui was horrified to realize his sharp short spear couldn’t penetrate the monster’s muscle.

“This monster…” He took a deep breath. He now understood why Su Li had specifically mentioned its weakness was its head: its head was the only part without muscle protection.
