Chapter 85: Fierce Battle with the Leader Beast

Gong Xiao had just acquired the “Mantis Fist,” and Ding Longyun also wanted to obtain the Spider Queen’s special ability, especially since the probability of acquiring a special ability from killing a Leader-class monster was one hundred percent.

Gong Xiao quickly rushed out after Su Li. She saw the Spider Queen raising two legs again to fiercely stab toward Su Li and immediately shouted, “I’ll tie it up, you attack—” She extended her left hand, and the “Entangling Vine” shot out, attempting to bind both of the Spider Queen’s legs simultaneously.

The Spider Queen violently rotated its body. It supported itself on four legs and lifted the other four, stabbing them out like four javelins.

The machete in his right hand did not guard his head and body to counter the immediate horizontal sweep of the spider leg, as Gong Xiao did. Instead, he took the initiative to attack, slicing horizontally across the movable joint of that very spider leg.

Though the spider leg was hard as steel, the sinew at the joint was not impenetrable. His machete cut through it with ease, and half of the spider leg flew off.

Having succeeded, Su Li instantly darted away at full speed.

Sure enough, the Spider Queen let out a sharp, piercing shriek. Several spider legs immediately slammed down, all stabbing into the concrete floor of the roof.

With one leg severed at the joint, the Spider Queen was enraged. Its massive body spun around, charging fiercely toward Su Li.

It realized that among these humans, Su Li was the most terrifying and hateful. It ignored Gong Xiao and Ding Longyun, focusing all its attention on killing Su Li.

The Spider Queen charged at Su Li like a mad beast. This time, Su Li did not attack. He turned and fled, sprinting toward the stairwell exit. At the same time, he pulled a dagger from his clothes and threw it toward Gong Xiao.

Gong Xiao, getting back up, looked at the two-meter-long severed spider leg lying on the ground, then at the dagger Su Li had thrown in front of her. She paused for a moment, then immediately understood Su Li’s intention. Picking up the dagger, she started chasing the Spider Queen. She realized that her and Ding Longyun’s opportunity had arrived.
