Chapter 238: Strike While the Iron Is Hot

The Blood Soul Beast had never expected that Chen Fei would actually dare to launch an attack against it.

Raising its claw, blood and energy condensed upon it as it swiftly brought it up to block in front of itself.

Chen Fei took a deep breath. Even though the Blood Soul Beast had merely lifted its paw, the aura surrounding it was even more terrifying. The moment Chen Fei charged near its body, a wave of dizziness struck him, leaving him disoriented and struggling to react.

“So this is the effect of a Transcendence Realm expert?” Without the slightest hesitation, Chen Fei bit down on his tongue.

The bloody taste in his mouth instantly cleared his mind. Within his body, the Void Heaven Cauldron shook violently, helping him fully snap out of his daze.

“Get out of my way!” Chen Fei shouted, and the massive sword in his hand burst forth with powerful energy.

Facing the Blood Soul Beast, Chen Fei dared not hold back in the slightest.

His Chen family bloodline flared up in an instant, and at the same time, he summoned the power of the “Axe Seal of Transcendence” and fused it into the Wufeng Greatsword.

Though the Wufeng Greatsword was classified as a sword, it was exceptionally heavy, making it perfectly compatible with the power of an axe-type seal.

The Blood Soul Beast roared in rage, shock evident in its eyes as it stared at Chen Fei.

This member of the Chen family not only withstood its oppressive aura, but had even managed to injure it!

“Get lost!” the Blood Soul Beast bellowed and forcefully sent Chen Fei flying.

While airborne, Chen Fei adjusted his posture, landing on the ground and bouncing off it three more times before he finally managed to dissipate the force.

A deep wound, down to the bone, had appeared on the Blood Soul Beast’s paw.

Even though it kept trying to repair the injury using its power, the wound continued to tear open again and again.

“You actually dared to wound me!” the Blood Soul Beast roared. Its crouched body slowly stood upright — this time, it was truly enraged!

A crushing pressure exclusive to the Transcendence Realm spilled from its body. To Chen Fei, the Blood Soul Beast seemed to be growing taller and taller, looking down on him with a godlike presence. The sheer weight of that aura was far more terrifying than he’d imagined.

Chen Fei raised his head without backing down in the slightest.

But as the pressure grew heavier, his body began to tremble uncontrollably, and he was forced to thrust the Wufeng Greatsword into the ground before him to keep from collapsing.

Before the might of the Transcendence Realm, all resistance felt laughably insignificant.

Seeing Chen Fei immobilized, Qin Shuang revealed a faint smile.

Indeed, Chen Fei’s rapid growth had filled her with dread, but now it was all over!

Remembering the torment of being shackled in the Chen Clan’s ancestral land, the rage within the beast finally erupted.

Chen Fei suddenly felt a surge of power flooding his body.

Previously, the Blood Soul Beast’s oppressive aura had frozen the energy inside him, but now, with this new force coursing through him, his inner energy was once again alive and flowing.

“Ancestor!” Chen Fei immediately understood what had happened.

“My secret art has limited duration. The Blood Soul Beast has just broken free from its bindings — this is when it’s at its weakest! This is your only chance! Don’t let it recover!” Chen Wansheng’s voice was urgent, rushing to explain.

Chen Fei took a deep breath and wasted no time. He lifted his head and looked straight at the Blood Soul Beast.

At that moment, the beast seemed agitated just hearing Chen Wansheng’s voice. It wildly searched its surroundings, clearly trying to find him.

Judging by its reaction, if Chen Wansheng were to appear, it would charge at him without hesitation and tear him to shreds.

Chen Fei lowered his head to look at the Wufeng Greatsword.

“Rivers Converge.” He slowly uttered these two words.

He quickly summoned the Yin-Yang Five Elements Seal. Flames ignited across the blade of the Wufeng Greatsword as the Fire Element Seal merged into it.

The Yin-Yang Five Elements Seal clashed with the blade, and a loud echo rang from within the sword, as if something deep inside it had been awakened.

A glimmer of joy flickered in Chen Fei’s eyes — the Wufeng Greatsword had withstood the force of the Yin-Yang Five Elements Seal.

This was his strongest technique!

Lifting his head, Chen Fei’s gaze locked with the Blood Soul Beast’s wild, crazed eyes.

The beast sensed the threat he posed and, unlike before, now cautiously took a step back, clearly observing Chen Fei’s transformation.

“So it was you messing around! Die!” the Blood Soul Beast snarled as it leapt at him.

The movement seemed simple, but it was as fast as lightning, accompanied by a crushing Transcendence Realm aura that locked onto Chen Fei completely.

Chen Fei slowly raised his arm.

By now, the Wufeng Greatsword had transformed into a burning giant sword. The flickering flames distorted the air around it.

This strike was incredibly powerful — but the cost was also steep.

Even with Chen Fei’s enhanced physique, his arm gripping the sword had begun to crack, blood flowing and seeping into the blade. He didn’t flinch.

“Rivers Embrace All!” As the Blood Soul Beast neared, Chen Fei closed his eyes.

Then suddenly opened them wide, and with a mighty swing, slashed the flaming Wufeng Greatsword toward the beast.

The flames instantly ignited the Blood Soul Beast’s fur, and the blade cut deep into its bones.

The beast howled in pain, glaring at Chen Fei with murderous intent.

But Chen Fei paid it no mind.

He clutched the sword tightly, ignoring the beast’s incoming claw.

This madness was more terrifying than him simply wounding the beast.

Boom!

Just as the Blood Soul Beast’s claw was about to touch him, a violent explosion erupted from within the beast’s body.

It froze in place — like time had stopped.

Chen Fei began coughing up large amounts of blood, but his eyes still gleamed with joy.

He had done it!

But the price was steep.

The power granted by Chen Wansheng disappeared instantly, replaced by overwhelming weakness. More dangerously, he was now standing right next to the Blood Soul Beast.

The Transcendence Realm aura returned with full force!

Both of them were like statues frozen in broken shards of time — Chen Fei coughing blood, the beast dazed.

Qin Shuang’s expression changed drastically.

Chen Fei had not only managed to land such a blow, but he was still alive!

“Chen Fei!” she growled through gritted teeth. This man had to die today — otherwise, she’d never be at peace again!

Without hesitation, Qin Shuang raised her hand toward Chen Fei, preparing to attack —
