Chapter 198: All-Out Strike
by SurroundedbyBooksOutside the Xianle Secret Realm, Mu Yunsu wore a grave expression.
With her strength, opening the Xianle Secret Realm shouldn’t have been difficult at all. The real problem was that forcing it open might endanger the inner disciples trapped inside. They might not be rescued in time—and worse, could be caught in the crossfire.
Against the power of a Heavenly Dao cultivator, those disciples wouldn’t even have a chance to resist.
This was the reason Mu Yunsu had been hesitating at the edge of the secret realm. The thick, pervasive stench of blood had already told her who was stirring up trouble inside.
“Blood River!” Mu Yunsu gritted her teeth, her eyes cold and sharp.
At that moment, the projection of Ancestor Tianqing appeared beside her.
“Ancestor!” Mu Yunsu looked at him with guilt on her face.
“If someone pushes Blood River to use power beyond the Origin Realm, the Xianle Secret Realm will tear apart from within. You must be ready to act!” Ancestor Tianqing said in a deep voice.
“Power beyond the Origin Realm? Impossible! Only Dao Realm disciples went in! Even if someone could fight above their realm, in front of Blood River, even pure Dao Realm power should be more than enough to crush them!” Mu Yunsu looked at him, startled.
Ancestor Tianqing gave the secret realm a meaningful glance. “Have you forgotten who her husband is?”
Mu Yunsu’s eyes widened, her mouth slightly open in shock.
Ancestor Tianqing narrowed his eyes. “I can feel a powerful bloodline energy gathering on the Xuanhuang Continent. It seems after so many years, the demonic sects are resurfacing! And now they dare cause trouble even at Tianqing Sacred Ground!”
“This is all due to my failure to manage things!” Mu Yunsu quickly lowered her head.
“Now is not the time for blame. After this, dispatch all disciples—it’s time for a thorough purge!” With that, Ancestor Tianqing raised his hand. “Prepare yourself. Once the Xianle Secret Realm fractures from within, move in.”
“Yes!” Mu Yunsu hadn’t seen Ancestor Tianqing this furious in ages. The Blood Cloud Sect had clearly crossed the line.
And truthfully, the activity of the demonic sects had grown more rampant. After today, the century-long peace of the Xuanhuang Continent would be truly over.
Inside the Xianle Secret Realm, Chen Fei began forming the Yin-Yang Five Elements Seal.
With Ancestor Tianqing backing him, Chen Fei had no more hesitation. If he couldn’t complete this task, that would be the real joke.
Blood River, who thought he had everything under control, wasn’t in a hurry to attack. Instead, he smiled at Ancestor Tianqing’s projection and said, “Tianqing, you’re just a phantom. Let’s see if you can actually stop me.”
“I’ll let you watch your disciples from Tianqing Sacred Ground rot into bones under the corrosion of my Blood Sect’s secret arts!” Blood River turned his gaze to Chen Fei. “It’s obvious you care about this boy. Then let’s start with him, shall we?”
It was an obvious provocation. Ancestor Tianqing’s expression darkened.
Had it not been for his breakthrough moment in cultivation, he’d have appeared in person and swatted Blood River to death by now.
Chen Fei, however, brightened at the words.
“If you want to die so badly, I don’t mind granting your wish,” he thought.
“Ancestor, now!” Chen Fei sent a mental message.
Blood River, unaware of what was happening, squinted at the interaction, then coldly laughed as he summoned a massive blood-red claw. The foul wind it carried stained the sky crimson.
Ancestor Tianqing flicked his sleeve and shattered the claw with ease before raising his hand toward Blood River.
Blood River wasn’t flustered at all. Instead, his eyes lit up as he suddenly charged toward Tianqing’s direction.
“Tianqing, you senile fool! You think a mere phantom can stop me?” he laughed wildly, his grotesque face looming close to Chen Fei.
But the fear he expected to see on Chen Fei’s face never came. Instead, Chen Fei smiled up at him.
Blood River froze for a moment, and before he could react, a brilliant golden seal appeared in Chen Fei’s hand—and slammed straight toward his forehead.
“Courting death!” Blood River hadn’t taken Chen Fei seriously at all. His focus had remained on Tianqing’s projection.
His bluster was loud, but deep down, he still feared Ancestor Tianqing—after all, it was he who had sealed him away for hundreds of years.
Everything was unfolding exactly as Chen Fei had expected.
Meanwhile, Wang Fang finally shed his humble expression, pulling out a blood-red bead from his robes.
“It’s almost done,” he whispered, eyes locked on the battlefield.
The golden seal in Chen Fei’s hand erupted with a heaven-shaking aura. At such close range, Blood River’s expression changed drastically.
He’d been too careless.
And now, with no time to dodge, he could only react by instinct. A layer of blood-red armor formed around him, wrapping him in protection. At the same time, he raised his hand, releasing a surge of power.
Ancestor Tianqing, watching, turned to Chen Fei with surprise. It seemed he’d underestimated his new personal disciple.
Boom!
A destructive shockwave exploded outward, flattening an entire mountaintop in the volcanic valley. This attack was clearly beyond the Dao Realm.
Blood River stared at Chen Fei in horror. If that strike had landed cleanly on his head, it wouldn’t have killed him—but it would’ve hurt badly. Fortunately, his reflexive defenses had saved him.
“Unbelievable! A mere Dao Realm cultivator launching such a powerful attack! Looks like I’ll have to kill you today!” Blood River looked at Chen Fei with lingering fear.
But Chen Fei only met his gaze calmly, without a trace of worry.
“Who were you planning to kill?” A chilling voice rang out.
Mu Yunsu’s massive face appeared in the sky. Gone was the gentle, serene demeanor—in its place was awe-inspiring majesty.
Blood River finally realized—Chen Fei’s earlier attack had surpassed the Origin Realm, causing the Xianle Secret Realm to fracture and giving those outside a way in!
“Not good!” Blood River immediately began retreating.
In his prime, even Ancestor Tianqing had found him difficult to deal with. Mu Yunsu had once not even qualified to fight him.
But things were different now. He’d been sealed for so long—he knew better than anyone how weak he had become.
His only hope was to escape while still inside the Xianle Secret Realm. As long as he could get out of Tianqing Sacred Ground, he might still survive.
Otherwise, the wrath of a Heavenly Dao cultivator would consume him whole.
