She suddenly recalled seeing a phantom among Bone Dragons in the abyss when first sealed at Demon Ghost Mountain. That phantom must’ve been the Demon God, his power sealed there.

The Demon God dragged her deeper into the hall until they reached a raised platform bearing a jet-black throne. Releasing her, he settled onto the seat.

Propping his chin with one hand, he stared at her with cold crimson eyes, silent and contemplative.

You You initially felt nervous under his gaze, but as the silence stretched, unease prickled her skin. She retreated half a step.

You You studied the unfamiliar face, a daring suspicion forming. Steeling herself, she countered, "Didn’t you claim to have all Feng Rong’s memories?"

"I do."

"Then shouldn’t you know our relationship already?"

Demonic Energy crackled around him as anger contorted his features. The violent aura subsided as quickly as it appeared. "Bold words," he sneered. "But provoking me serves you ill."

"Now you feel it?" The Demon God leaned forward. "While I slumbered, you destroyed my body, forcing my consciousness into a dead phoenix egg. Though I don’t know how you stole half my power…"

He stood abruptly, eyes blazing. "You killed me once. How will you repay this debt?"

You You’s mind whirled. Merging with Demonic Energy? Owning half his power? When had she ever-

"Were you… crushed to death?" she blurted.

His glare intensified. "My consciousness wasn’t fully awakened. Flames. Falling skies. Crushing Pressure."

Cold realization washed over her. "Was your resting place… near the Mortal Realm’s Abyss of the Demons?"

"Remembering now?"

Her face paled. Fireworks.

That damned "Firefall Meteor" firework she’d launched after first arriving here. The "God Slayer" title she’d earned…
