Chapter 512: The Bronze Chime Bells

Mo Qianxun smiled curiously and asked, "What is it?"

"Well…" Fang Lie glanced at the surrounding crowd and said with a bitter smile, "Can we discuss this elsewhere?"

Since Fang Lie intended to secretly retaliate against the Great Thunder Sound Temple, he naturally wanted to avoid public attention. Being seen as petty was the last thing he desired.

Noticing this, Mo Qianxun chuckled. "Never thought you’d resort to underhanded methods. Come with me then. After days of hard work, you deserve some rest."

With a flash, Mo Qianxun whisked them across ten thousand miles to his private villa. They materialized in a backyard pavilion encircled by a lotus-filled pond.

After seating Fang Lie, Mo Qianxun brewed tea himself to honor the young hero. "So, what’s this secret matter you couldn’t mention earlier?"

"Nothing major!" Fang Lie grinned. "I just want to know the Great Thunder Sound Temple’s greatest treasure—excluding Ninth-Rank treasures."

"Hm?" Mo Qianxun’s eyes lit up. "Planning to repeat East Kunlun’s trick? Trade the Thunder Sound Golden Bell for their prized possession?"

"Exactly!" Fang Lie clenched his fists. "Those bald devils set me up for no reason! I won’t swallow this insult. They’ll pay dearly!"

Mo Qianxun frowned. "Your plan has merit, but acting now risks angering other righteous sects. Many have lost ancestral tokens over time. If extortion becomes common practice…"

"Then what?" Fang Lie interrupted. "Let them escape unscathed?"

"Patience," Mo Qianxun advised. "The Righteous Sects Alliance’s Elder Council exists for disputes. Submit your case there first."

"What good’s a toothless council against the mighty Great Thunder Sound Temple?"

"Ah, but its rulings shape public opinion." Mo Qianxun wagged a finger. "Defying their judgment gives you legitimate grounds for retaliation—even assaulting their mountain gate won’t make you an enemy of the Alliance."

"First diplomacy, then force!" Fang Lie exclaimed. "Let’s petition the Council!"

"I’ll arrange it," Mo Qianxun nodded. "But gathering elders takes a month. Use this time to clear remaining demon weapon hordes from the Central World. Your rat demons can’t settle until then."

"A laborer’s fate!" Fang Lie groaned, gulping his tea in one swig.

Mo Qianxun grimaced. "Must you drink immortal tea like water? Learn some decorum!"

"Easy for a pampered heir to say!" Fang Lie retorted. "At ten, I scavenged for food! Tea ceremonies meant nothing when I couldn’t afford hot water."

"Enough," Mo Qianxun sighed. "We’ll arrange etiquette lessons later. Now, name your Central World."

"Green Fox Realm," Fang Lie decided. "Future home of the Green Fox Clan."

"Suit yourself." Mo Qianxun shrugged. "But you still want the Temple’s treasure?"

"Their Ninth-Rank Heavenly Thunder Golden Bell’s unobtainable," Mo Qianxun said. "Aim lower—the Bronze Chime Bells. One hundred eight ancient bells ranging from handbell to hundred-foot sizes. No refinement needed—any cultivator from Qi Sea to Semi-Immortal can wield them."

"Power scales with the user’s magic," he continued. "In my hands, their song rivals Master Tianlong’s Tianlong Chant. During the Demon Tide, twelve Fire Tribulation Immortals using them slaughtered billions of demons, including thousands of Golden-Horned Demon Kings!"

"Perfect!" Fang Lie’s eyes shone. "With clones operating the full set alongside my Energy Cycle Star Array, none could withstand me!"

Mo Qianxun sighed jealously. "The Mo Ancestor’s inheritance lies openly in the Cycle of Fire, yet only you obtained the undying nature. Why you, not his own descendants?"

"Because you’re unworthy!" Fang Lie teased before darting away from Mo Qianxun’s raised fist.

For the next month, Fang Lie roamed with his White Bone World-Breaking Gate altar, hunting stray demon weapon clusters. Though declared clear, the vast Central World might still hide threats. His rat demons established early-warning formations near permanent portal sites while guards stood ready with True Demon Blood to lure and trap any resurgence.
