    Chapter 756: Annihilation

"Soul Seal: Exterminate Heaven and Earth!"

Within the mask, Ye Yun temporarily ascended to the Heavenly Immortal realm. Though brief, it sufficed. A colossal force enveloped him as he gazed at the Heavenly Demon through his ghostly mask, lips curved in a faint smirk. "The rest isn’t my burden to bear."

"I, who once dominated the heavens, won’t fall to such triviality!" Trapped by encroaching darkness, the Heavenly Demon wore resignation. He hadn’t imagined his demise would come at the hands of a mortal, all because of *her*.

"To think you still resent me. Fool. No wonder you fell for my lies." Despite his surging demonic energy, the darkness devoured him. He laughed bitterly, "To perish by your hand… fitting! Ha!"

"Your end was always mine to deliver, Heavenly Demon." Memories surfaced—the woman’s icy glare, his own pride, the royal edict that tore them apart. Regrets lingered in both their hearts.

"Dying by you… perhaps this completes me." His gaze drifted to the horizon, sky and sea merging. *If she is the sky, I am the sea.* Then darkness swallowed him whole.

As the Heavenly Demon vanished, Ye Yun’s mask cracked. He sighed, relieved. "So it’s done. A clean slate at last."

His demonic nature purged, he now rivaled even Mo Wenxian. Glancing at the shattered mask, he mused, "Even you are gone. A satisfying conclusion."

"Hah! Credit where it’s due—this Ancestor’s guidance made it possible!" The Ancestor of the Sword Path materialized, grinning.

Ye Yun raised a brow. "Convenient timing. Here to claim glory?"

"Your cultivation’s reached Yuan Ying’s sixth tier, foundation unshakable. With that woman’s legacy, your Ice Spirit Qi mastery will soar!" the Ancestor retorted, unbothered.

"True. My only regret is worrying those two." Ye Yun stepped toward the spatial gate, reflecting on gains and losses. "I’ve returned!" His voice echoed from the Celestial Tower’s peak as white light carried him to Shui Lingling and Shui Yingying.

"You idiot!" Shui Lingling hurled herself into his arms. He patted her back, soothing, "I told you I’d survive. The demon’s dead, not I."

"You flung us away! Do you know how terrified I was?!" Tears welled in her eyes.

"Have faith. That battle nearly killed me too." Noticing Du Jianyin’s approach, Ye Yun teased, "Your savior’s here. No thanks?"

"Save your life for our duel," Du Jianyin scoffed, though relief tinged his voice. "Three Celestial Heavens await. Spare me no mercy."

"Hitching a ride now?" Ye Yun smirked. White light enveloped them, then flickered.

"My spatial laws haven’t recovered," Ye Yun admitted.

"Then I’ll go ahead." Du Jianyin vanished in a sword streak.

"Settling scores." Ye Yun turned to Pei Yunshan’s group. "Stand with him, and die."

Pei Yunshan paled as allies retreated. "Traitors! After all I gave you—"

"Your threats mean nothing here," a cultivator spat.

"That ‘Heavenly Demon’ you slew—was it truly Heavenly Immortal tier?!" Pei Yunshan lunged.

Ye Yun’s Purple Shadow Divine Sword flashed. "Worse." Mental power paralyzed Pei Yunshan as the blade severed his arm. "Death’s too kind for harming Ling’er."

"Bully Ling’er? Die!" Shui Lingling’s daggers rained. Others joined, reducing the corpse to shreds.

"Trouble brews," Shui Lingling murmured. "His faction holds sway in the Immortal Dao Sect."

"One more death changes little." Ye Yun’s mental wave felled the remaining cultivators. "Let’s depart."

"How did you defeat the demon god’s remnant?" Shui Yingying asked as they walked.

"Carp rolls! Tiger strikes!" Ye Yun spun a ludicrous tale.

Shui Lingling giggled. "Just like the storytellers!"

"Childhood memories," Ye Yun chuckled. White light surged, whisking them to a celestial palace. Though no longer a Heavenly Immortal, the thrill of boundless power lingered—a borrowed strength, yet intoxicating.
